I too can vouch for vibration at low RPM with the CS inserts.
Just put my cs inserts in and notice a very mild vibe at idle and when going into first. More vibe with A/C on. Smoother shifts and hardly any wheel hop compared to stock in first and 2nd gear. Power mods:Just have the cobb intake. SLS race pipe going in next week. If the inserts wear out going with the CPE mm for sure.

i think this is the production model. check out CP-E's product link:

MazdaSPEED3 Engine Mount

i don't think they care to make it smooth as butter, since it's going to be sitting out of sight anyways...=d

I've got the CS inserts. I can confirm that there is additional vibration at low RPM. It is not a lot but if I am at a light and the A/C compressor cycles on you can notice some vibration that was not there with the factory mount. If you were a passenger and I did not tell you about it you probably would notice it. It in no way impacts performance and I am very happy with them.

here's the said review:

"this CPE mount does work somewhat as advertised but what they failed to mention is that you will still have wheel hop and you wont notice much of a difference in performance if any at all. dont waste your money for a slightly better than stock mount that looks pretty and has a "special" rubber insert. Go for the urethane mount, sure you will a little NVH for a bit but that will go away as you break in the new mount. To me the performance gains are worth the NVH for a little while! I have the SU mount installed and its awesome. The power difference is phenomenal. I can feel a deffi difference between the two mounts. The CPE mount lasted one trip to the track, there is tearing in the rubber on both sides now. im have the SU mount in now and its a huge difference. Hope this helps"

i cannot comment on what kind of mods he has on his car, but my only power mod is the cobb SRI, and i have no issues with wheel hop. my CPE mount does not have weird tears in it like he says, but then again, i've obviously not gone to the track. it's like i said in my review: this is a good, stock-like mount that will clean up your wheelhop (up to a certain point, obviously). it is comfortable and has a good, refined feel. if you want to kick ass at the track, get yourself a trz dogbone, but if you want to feel comfortable cruising around town, then this mount is worth consideration.

Obviously written by a SU cheerleader. To say the SU mount is superior makes me laugh. If it was a TRZ Derlin mount, than yeah, perhaps he could say the shit he has.. but come on, read between the lines. SU Fanboism or someone who is absolutely fucking clueless about their car.

I tested the "prototype" mount sent to me. Did it cure all of the vibes? Sure, i felt no vibes in the CPe mount. Did it cure wheel hop? No and based off the design of the car, one sole mount isnt going to cure every instance of wheel hop these cars will make.

Great writeup was trying to decide between MMs, looks like CPE is the winner.

Honestly, I must have the only TRZ Delrin mount where vibes are no issue. Had it on for maybe five months now and apart from maybe the first month I notice nothing at all. For WOT shifting and nailing 2nd to 3rd every time it can't be beat imo.

I have the SU mount, the shifting is precise but I didn't realize how much vibration there would be.

I ordered the CP-E mount after reading others' experiences and look forward to trying it.

I ordered the SU before the CP-E went public, and received it after. Thought about returning the SU because of all the good reports on the CP-E, but went ahead and installed it.

The vibes were pretty bad with AC at idle, shuddering when starting off, and all the rest reported.

Only about 200 miles on it now and the vibes have reduced a lot, I mean a whole lot. The AC idle is down maybe 80%, and anything else feels nice to me - just a little tightness to let you know it's doing it's job.

My main concern is drivetrain slack when shifting, not so much wheel hop, and the SU is wonderful at smoothing shifts, feels like s new car. CP-E probably just as good, but I can't imagine now replacing the SU, just not enough to complain about at all.

I can't help wondering if install procedures make a difference in final results? Not much to it, but I read somewhere to torque the motor (vertical) bolt first so that's what I did. I went with 65 on the two mount ones and 90 on the bracket. Maybe some people aren't torqueing them? Or doing it in the wrong order (that is, if there really is a proper order?)

I guess no vibes at all would be nice, but I actually like the "feedback" from the SU mount now that it's broken in, so spending the money twice doesn't make sense to me right now. I should check the torque just in case that explains the reduced vibes, but I think I'll wait for 500 miles on it.

I can't see how any mount eliminates the dreaded wheel hop. I have the TRZ dogbone (poly) and at the track all I did when launching at any RPM was wheelhop. The only mods I have is a modded airbox w/ K&N drop in and a Forge BPV.

the first question i'd ask at this point is: how are your tires doing? i have the CP-E and all i have is the cobb SRI...no wheel hop at all.

It helps...but didn't eliminate the wheel hop as much as I hoped.
