Default 1st.....2nd......1st BAMMM (fucked up clutch)?

So me being a dickhead I tried showing off to my friend the powa of the MS3. So I launched it and did a big burnout.........through 1st, then quick to 2nd and at the top of 2nd threw it back in first instead of 3rd at whatever is at the top of 2nd my guess is 50-60 mph idk. My fucking girlfriend never wears a seatbelt and bounced her head off of the dash. I caught it almost immediately and pushed the clutch back in from the roll maybe about a half second. After my shitty driving I then went to a stop and noticed the tranmission felt weird. Now the clutch was releasing earlier and won't go into gear as easy.

The more I drove it I noticed it will only go into certain gears after the rpms go down after shifting into each gear. I also noticed that with the clutch fully pushed in when I try to put it into gear the rpms jump up a little bit as if I don't have the clutch fully disengaged. Unfortunately I had to drive it to work like this and now it's having a hard time going into first with the clutch fully pressed in, and the car shakes from going from a stop (not the clutch pedal thank god.)


So my question is.........besides it being the clutch/pressure plate, could it also be the shiftfork, motor mount or something else?

I just installed the TRZ mount after work I'm going to check if everything is still intact with that. Thanks for input ahead of time.

Do the same thing in reverse: From a stop, do a burnout in 2nd, shift quickly into 1st keeping it pinned, then shift back into 2nd and smash your GF's face against the dash.

Should fix your problem.

Haha no I was just trying to act like a badass to my friend that never seen the car. Thank god I got far enough down the street for him to not see me do it only hear me. The car is no longer under warranty so no stealership visits for me.

I meant to say it wouldn't be all gears the sychro would be to an individual gear set my bad. I know this because my CRX has shitty 3rd and 4th gear synchros (not my fault) it's common with Honda B series cable transmissions

I did it at the dragstrip, but immediately pushed my clutch in... So no damage for me! I'm driving the car with the camera in it.

this is why when i shift i am never actually holding the shift knob i just apply pressure in the needed direction.. not once have i accidently downshifted. now i have skipped up a gear before but never downshifted when i wanted to upshift. OP sorry for your FAIL but hey now you have an excuse to buy more performance parts such as a racing transmission

Doubt its a synchro. Most Trannys dont have them in 1st and given the issues with engaging 1st in an MS3 it probably doesnt have one(the FSM could confirm though). Hopefully its just a clutch/pp issue.

As the OP suspects it's most probably the clutch pressure plate. The disk and flywheel did not like that either, but unless he goes to a car shop and have that checked by a professional... what we're doing here guessing is like peeing on a darts board with the wind blowing from a side (yeah, some may pee their shoes too in the process).

A while ago there was another member on this forum who shifted back to 2nd instead of 4th after going in 3rd up to red line. No engine damage was done in that case, and so in this case. The clutch is a lot less expensive than a motor. So just go have it checked and eventually replaced.
