2 questions on motor limits
 

1) How high will the stock valvetrain safely rev assuming the fuel system, turbo, and tune will support the revs? I understand that upgrading the springs can cause problems with the VVT system?
2) Assuming built motor, how much power can one of these things make with reasonable spool without resorting to meth or other systems that require filling anything other than the gas tank and crankcase?

Searching should produce the answers, but good luck finding the right combination to produce the answers without wading through a million posts, which pretty much defeats the purpose of the search.

How many questions can you ask about things you are never going to do?

Why assume I'm never going to do anything with the car? I never had the money before. Now I do. I ask questions so I learn what can and can't be done and what can be done but simply isn't worth the expense.

$10? That's all? I've been holding off until I actually use some of the information I've been collecting and was going to give a lot more than that, because it wouldn't be happening without the helpful folks on this forum.

I'm hardly a newb by the way. I have one of the oldest Speed3s around (April 2007) that I do most of my own work on and have actually been a member here from the very beginning. Don't let the post count fool you. I just haven't been here because I had other interests and got tired of dreaming about doing stuff to my car that I couldn't afford. I came back because I will very soon have plenty-o-dough to play with so I'm not engaging in mental masturbation dreaming about modding my car anymore. It will soon be a very rapid reality.

FWIW, I don't own a MS3...or any Mazda. I'm still in the process of researching and finding a nice un-modded one. I donated already. If you can afford a $16-$23k car plus mods, you can pay $25 to have access to the FSM, Buy/Trade, give back to help run a site with no ads and get great deals from vendors.

You won't blow the motor on stock internals before running out of fuel if you're not planning on using meth.........................from what I've seen on other builds here.

All I know is that for #1 you can go up to around 7100-7200rpm but stay under 7k if you want to play safe, as for #2 you can get around 350-370whp
