2nd Best Thing I've Done to My Car

number 1 being fuel pump +tune

but the second best....it's not the downpipe, cat-back, intake, coils, wheels....no.

i just put in my cp-e 75 duro motor mount and all i can say is...holy $#!t!!!! this thing is awesome. just enough vibrations so you know it's doing its job. no more jolting in first gear, rev-matching during downshifts is SO smooth now and shifting in general is just perfect. it honestly feels like a whole new car.

just wanted to express my satisfaction...starting to wonder if the other mounts would be a good investment now. :scratchchin:

first real post too. :D thank you cp-e!!! will definitely buy from again.

zephgrave 08-24-2013 11:16 AM

where did buy yours? I hate that the car jolts so much in 1st gear. also did you replace the entire fuel pump or just the internals?

jreams 08-24-2013 11:39 AM

i just did the internals....twice. my ptp internals failed so i found a used hpfp assembly on ebay..bought that and swapped the internals i got from autotech this time. no problems since.

and i got mine from edge auto sport. cp-e 75 duro rmm.

Rmm is an awesome mod. Loves it. However jbr 88a ftw.

jreams 08-24-2013 11:53 AM

big difference from the 75?

88a trilogy ftw lol. huge improvement over stock gummy bear mounts

Dash08 08-24-2013 12:08 PM

One of the best mods?

Clearly, you haven't installed an RSB yet.

Hands down, one of the most dramatic mods you can do to this car.

jreams 08-24-2013 12:27 PM

huh, i noticed with this mount the whole car seems more intact. pretty awesome.

boostdmazda3 08-24-2013 12:29 PM

yes 88a is stiffer then the 75a thus preforms better. 75 is fine though the 60a is for bitches

dot584 08-24-2013 01:18 PM

I have the cpe rmm and the rest jbr tranny and passenger both 80 duro and once you get all three the vibes go away. Having only two caused more vibes than just one in my case. So if you decide to upgrade either side mount, get both at once.

not gonna lie, i kinda like the vibrations. feels more like a race car. lol.

TheRoyceWay 09-16-2013 06:00 PM

Just whatever you do, for the love of god, don't get 95 duro mounts!

I too thought "Oh, this will be great! I LOVE the vibrations! feels like a real race car!"

Yet here I am 6 months later, and ohhhh what I would give to stop the rattling...

12blkms3 09-16-2013 06:18 PM

I should probably get some mounts before my engine falls out. Haha!!

jonj1017 09-16-2013 07:25 PM

Just installed my jbr 80a rmm and just like you, op, the difference is night and day. Best part is the elimination of wheel hop. The stock rmm looked pathetic.

I almost went with a Sure rmm, thanks to this forum I went JBR instead.

Anyone having problems with JBR mounts say after a couple years. Thinking of going with them too.

Get the 88 for the rear. You don't really notice it very much. While you're at it, get a rear sway bar.

scubasteve711 09-17-2013 10:03 AM

FWIW, they did send me new bushings free of charge... They took their time, but they did do that. The small side bushing which is the one that disintegrated, is a diff color that the previous one.

I was a couple days away from giving up on getting replacements and ordering a JBR one...
