70% ABS PedD
 

I have this thread over in another section but I thought I'd put it up here too.

When I'm at WOT, my ABS PedD PID only goes to 70% and wont go any further. Is this normal, or is my car limited to only 70% throttle. Does anyone out there see 100% for this PID at WOT?

This is not for that, this is for the gas pedal. It's only showing a requested (pedal input) of only 70, when you put it to the floor it should say 100 but it will do it's own thing at the actual throttle plate.

i thought the fcf opened the throttle plate

It does remap everything but this is more about the DBW input rather than the throttle itself.

OP what gear? All?

some of the DH parameters are weird.....i dont know off the top of my head but that might be the wrong one for accel pedal position..or maybe the DH just scales it weird/wrong. Sorry this isnt more helpful, lol

Not sure what you're getting at..? Anyhow besides the fact that the gas pedal is only showing 7X% the actual throttle position never even goes in to 80% which is not right. The gas pedal also does not show 100% requested throttle, just 70%. I don't have my dashhawk anymore but it should show 100% requested pedal throttle and 8X% from 3000-5500rpm then it closes up..

Yeah I forgot the exact PID's and the scaling could be different

OP should take a log of the pedal position and absolute throttle position as well and post it here.

This happens in every gear. I did a pull in 4th to 5500, got to 70% and wouldn't get any higher than that, even with my foot smashing the pedal to the floor. This is the pedal distance PID. ABS PedD. The Absolute throttle PID also shows it capping between 65-70%...much underneath CPE's reading of ~92% cap.

I imagine it is a DH issue, but I wanted to check with you guys to see if you're seeing 100% for this PID. Because if you are, something is wrong with my DBW system.

I'll do a log as well.

im sure you're fine.... we're not even sure what the PID is measuring or if the scaling is right.

I've played around with the DH and find there are quite a few Throttle related PIDs that never seem to sync up.

Regarding Pedal Position, aaronc7 is right, there should a PID called "Actual Pedal Position" under the Mazda specific parameters. This should sync up to what you're actually doing with the gas pedal.

word, i log that. shit shows 100% when you floor it. throttle plate is still closing though

Yeah, there are a bunch...its quite confusing and I think I was wrong thinking that the ABS PedlD was the proper PID for the gas pedal. I logged every one of them except the mazda specific one on my way home (I didn't know there was one in that menu). All show caps at 60-70%....trying to figure out how to get my DH to store a log on XP (with a helpful thread)....and once I do, I'll get it up here.

But I'm sure the Mazda specific one will show the 100% I am looking for. Damn, I was hoping that there was an issue and I still had 30% pedal left. Getting that back would have yielded one giant kick in the pants to the butt dyno.

you have 30% throttle left...

I'm not sure if I do or not based upon what others have reported. I don't think these PIDs show 100% even for those with a CPE Full Throttle Control Flash or an AP tune.

If I do, I want it back from my stubborn, overprotective mother of an ECU!

i thought it was pretty common knowledge that the throttle plate was closing early on these cars

now after reading more, i do understand what op was asking and what the answers are. lol

The Mazda Specific PID "Actual Pedal Position" produced a reading of 100%. Thanks for the advice.
