After injector seals, TIG IM and TB gaskets

Here is a log after the mods. There is a lean thread and a cracked manifold thread, so I'm glad I didn't go pop. It's only a 3rd gear pull. I'll get some more later.

Make sure you put these marked bolts back in on the right side. If they're reinstalled in a different order, Mazda may void your warranty.

I don't think I ever changed it, so it would be what came from Hiroshima.

Tokay444 05-23-2011 06:00 PM

Hmm. Not sure. I read some would have it and some won't.

Ferdball 05-23-2011 06:02 PM

About 90% of what's in there now is some Motorcraft 40/60 stuff. It went in via some weird reverse suction method.

Tokay444 05-23-2011 06:03 PM

Your log looks good accept for that 18 psi boost spike right at 3200 rpm. Wgdc seems low too.

How do you like all that chassis bracing stuff?

doubleflusher 05-24-2011 12:52 PM

Does your dog like grape soda too?

Love them. The chassis is tight. Its great with left right transitions especially.

First time he's ever eaten a fruit, so I got a picture of it. He's getting senile in his old age.

Question: Where exactly are the "Intake Temp" and "Boost Air Temp" measured at? I'm guessing that:

Boost Air Temp - Temp just after the ...
Intake Temp - Temp at the intake manifold

Is that right?

Tokay444 05-25-2011 05:46 PM

I think intake temp is measured at the intake, and bats are measured aft of the intercooler.

BAT's are after the intercooler, got it. Is it after my new gaskets?

Tokay444 05-25-2011 05:55 PM

That much I do not know.

manelscout4life 05-25-2011 06:03 PM

The BAT are measured in the intake manifold. So they should be a bit lower now with the TIG
