Another "just installed RMM" thread

Just installed the CPE RMM and like everyone says the car drives so much better now. A lot smoother shifts and the car feels like its finally getting the power to the ground properly. I got the 75 duro too and really the vibes are not that bad in fact i only noticed them when the car isnt moving and even then really not that bad and its not even broken in yet. I would def recommend this mount to everyone...I should have got it sooner. Shout out to Mark at street unit for good price! :headbang:

If any fillings come out....you got the harder one.

eddelgado 02-17-2010 09:24 AM

The softer duro - 60 will have a dot of paint that is either light yellow or beige on it.

I installed mine about 6 months ago and am very happy with it. I would not say that you cannot notice the vibration but it is not objectionable.

Mine should be here today or tomorrow. Does it include good instructions or are their online instructions? How long does the install take?

Frequentflyer 02-17-2010 12:25 PM

Actually, mine did say "75" on the bushing, so I'm assuming it's the 75 Duro. I don't remember specifying one way or another when I ordered it, so I got what I got. I really don't mind. I just installed it on my lunch break. Literally takes about 10-15 minutes once the car is up on the lift. I had the CS inserts in there already, but I think those wore out a long time ago. This is night and day from what I felt when I installed the inserts. I immediately felt the vibes upon the first startup, but it's not too bad. I haven't driven the car much since and at 35mph and below anyway, but there are some vibes there, especially on decceleration in gear. Nothing unbearable though and it should break in and get better. Overally, I'm happy so far. I can't wait to rip through the gears and see if my wheel hop is gone! Not bad for $99! I was fortunate enough to get the 25% off before SU found out that the RMM's were excluded from the 25% off sale! :) And yes... it comes with instructions.

Edit: Wow... I must say the difference is night and day. It even feels like the front suspension is tightened up because of this. Even the steering feels tighter. I'm impressed.

It took me about an hour but that is because it was too tight of a fit until I jacked up the tranny a little more. It really is a night and day differnce and the front end seems so much more solid now. Less vibration than I though and it is very worth the trade off.

love mine, just give it a few weeks to get it fully broken in and youll love it even more!

ryeguyspeed3 02-23-2010 09:34 PM

Is the vibrations just when idling?

eddelgado 02-24-2010 09:09 AM

You will notice some vibration when idling with the AC on.

I did notice some buzziness with mine when I installed it about 2500-3000 rpms or so. That disappeared after a couple of weeks.
