Don't let this shit bother you. These fucktards deserved to blow up. It's exactly this reason that you should have to have a post count higher than 300 to even think about posting a blown motor thread.

Despite the 4982038942890489028902 blown motor threads, its a fairly stout motor....really, it is. Even DCR said so. But there is some kind of flaw (probably the thrust bearing) in the engine that causes popped motors due to crank walk. Its not THAT common and if your motor has 20k miles or so on it and it dindt blow yet it probably wont if you keep up with oil changes.

If your engine blows at WOT, there was another (uncommon) problem that caused it, or you have decided to do something stupid which resulted in the engine failure.

The fact that the OP has not returned to talk about his incident, has not provided more information, and the fact that it was his first post leads me to believe that this fucker is a troll. Not to mention the engine blew at WOT...something that almost never happens when these engines go.

So please...everyone relax.

there's nothing to figure out, I'd be more interested to see why we have such a limit around 350whp

this is nothing new, motor knocks part throttle, runs stupid lean with stupid amounts of timing to save gas

you need a way to log fp because once u do a few serious mods you will most likely need an upgraded cdfp

I come from the world of mustangs where you can tune every parameter of the car. I'm assuming Mazdas don't quite work like that? Has anyone seen any discussion with Mazda about a tuning recall, or for that matter, has Mazda changed the tune for the newer cars?(As in, do 09s suffer the same as 08s etc)

I swear people are just buying shit to put on their cars to brag on their signatures online. Why the hell would you run a BCD and the Cobb AP? Cobb publishes map notes and mod guidelines for a reason.

"my POS mazda blew up"

"what mods are you running?"

"Uhhhh Cobb stage 1, GT35, and a BCD"

"pwned"

why would internals put you more at risk? are your pressures dropping? have you fully modded your car and you have no way to datalog? im curious what the hell this post means.

why exactly isnt your car in top shape? why do you say that?

my car isnt top shape because i got a WOT rattle , only in third gear and lower tho .... but at least i dont see KR when it happens

im away at work on a boat ( ferry) and cant post a vid of this now.. but its not as agressive as this http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...hantom-kr.html

i also had a few pulls tho that my pressure did drop.... but , i try to replicate it and pressure holds fine.. i had 2 runs in the last few days that look like the log ill attach.

i also kinda feel my idle is rough sometimes with a pressure of 350-390 and LTFT of -16

maybe my engine isnt so bad after all tho ... just those weird fuel trims ....

i cant repost my logs but they are here... look at log2

http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...questions.html

i probly just think its gonna blow cuz i pound the throttle every chance i get

but i am waiting on cobb to send me an air straightener without a bent fin...

LTFT's at -16 is BAD!!! Something is wrong with your setup and your ECU doesn't like it.

ya i know its not normal...

would a bad injector seal cause some unwanted fuel to leak in and make me run rich?

at least @ WOT i see 0 ... part throttle is -6 / -8

ill double chek all my clamps tho ASAP

to capman get a better fuel pump or internals ,, and meth , and probly deleting balance shaft...

i have yet to put meth and deleting balance shaft ... once warranty is out i will tho

Hi guys, i have or had a Mazdaspeed 6 2006, last saturday i was driving very normal arround 60mph going from 3rd to 4th gear and suddently a f4ck*ng noise like a rock under the hood, that noise last about five seconds, then the motor dead and a little white smoke came from it.....end of the history: the block has a huge hole in it, just under the alternator. My mech said i was a rod. So there´s nothing else to do than change the motor.....NOW here my question: does anybody knows if a Mazda CX-7 2009 motor fits to the MS6 2006??? this is because i live in Central America, and rigth now, this is the only one motor available in the area.

FYI: the blows up occured (figuring) because the car had a EBC Greddy wrong installed, so i had overbosst and highs peaks (higher was 24psi), i must suppouse that i repaired too late, the rod had some damage then and now all is history.

CX-7, Speed3 (1st generation & 2nd Generation) & Speed6 all utilize the same motor.
They can be interchanged between each other.

The turbo on the CX-7 is smaller.
Speed3 & Speed6 use the same turbo.

Also, I believe that the OEM MAP sensor cannot read above ~23.5 psi...

Hope this info helps with your build.

I was just waiting for the ATR and someone to give me a good tune but my engine went boom, boom.I was under full throttle, everything was fine I was running a conservitive map but boom.
It sucks making payments on a car that im not driving.
It is kind of scary looking at these forums and seeing just how many people are in the same boat.I just want to build an engine with strong internals and not have this problem again.
So I ordered CP pistons and Pauter rods.I know I just need a good CC and windage tray or ptp's oil baffle.
So that is my story and I am driving a nissan versa it sucks.
were you monitoring boost at all on this tune? You said you were waiting for atr? your running a forge wastegate actuator with a 15 pound spring, and a catless downpipe with no tuning! Guarantee you were geting boost spike like no other! To much boost spike for to long= boom. Also why weren't you running a stage 2 map with a downpipe?
