Block comparability.
 

Tried searching and came up with no actual answer. I have a 06 mazdaspeed6 which blew up, it's now built and I have extra parts which just need a block now. Would the ford focus 2.3l block be the same as my 2.3l block? Can it be used? Same bore? Same main bearings? What's different on it? I've seen those blocks and they look exactly the same. Also seen them push 500+ hp.

No, the 2.3 Duratec & Zetec are not the same block.

The duratec is similar, the zetec is not even close. The only Focus block you want is out of the ST.
