Im not running an OTS map, so if he fucks me up so be it. Seriously though, Im not pusing 18psi like most cobb guys, so where would phils extra power be comming from on his stock tune that I would magically be missing? I hit 25psi in 4th and hold 22 to my shift point, are you saying he magically makes more boost than that? above that and the car becomes a true flame thrower.

You're right.. nothing fishy about your dyno.. the way you went about the dyno, is another story. I knew this thread was going to turn to shit the second Randy mentioned an AP on page 1. Bottom line is, the AP isn't shit and you are going to quickly realize that sooner, then later. Who blamed you for this Cobb toss in this thread? Did i mention your name Chris? Absolutely not. | Not Ranked : 0 score as i was waiting int he waiting room he comes out and asks if any of us are intrested in the ap...i said i have one and it didnt work to well on my car and he said they have a local guys that they do alot of custom changes too and have yet to make serious power with the thing. So i asked him if he can make custom maps and with a smile on his face he goes, no the "software" is not out yet. i am 1 of 3 or 4 members on this board that heard this.... its a awd dyno shop with subies in there, im sure he know how to tune or get around the whole software release bs. Hopefully cobb releases the software soon, then well see what it does |

I can already tell you what you're going to say once ATR is released. You try to tune with it without reading any tutorials, you'll make a shit tune, and blame the cobb software and the AP sucks. If you want true results let a REAL protuner tune your car with the AP. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score All I have to add is; I remember a time when the SRT4 Neon came out and all these kids went out and did all the typical DSM mods to it including some jenkie MBC set ups that made my jaw drop. For the first year and a half they were all calling dodge garbage because these things were popping like bubble wrap in a five year olds hands. Then all of a sudden the dumbasses started to weed themselves out and at the same time some solutions to inherent design flaws came out and all was well. Well Holy crap videos of 500 at the wheels were popping up all over. Then dodge became the king dingaling and every teenager had to have one. Seeing that the speed3 is fairly more advanced then the SRT4 (think millenium falcon vs. spaceshuttle) Things are going to take some time. Don't rule out the internals on this car yet and don't rule out the car all together yet. Patience is a virtue.

dude...baaaack off. loosh is just passing along what apparently several heard this guy say. whats the big deal? i TOTALLY believe that the software has been "unofficially" distributed to dealers if they are in the loop. I got that impression months ago. i bottom line about looshs "testing", and "comparison" between the ap and standback. There is not a SINGLE cpe supporter that got pissed at loosh for sharing that. There have been LOADS of ap users who have since switched from aps to standbacks.... and without a single exception regarding the people ive spoken with.... the switch has been 100% well received. The feedback from those who have switched has been so resounding that i personally would like to offer ANYBODY with an AP a 100% moneyback gaurantee if they switch to a standback. And if they prefer the AP better that id refund their money.... for their standback in return of course..lol I think all the hate on loosh for his comparison is unjustified. It was one of the more enlightening comparos weve had in the scene. whether it was perfectly setup or not is irrelevent. ALL the standback cars that day made more power, the stock ecu cars made more power, and ALL the Cobb cars were a disappointment in comparison. The fact that it came on the heels of Whoosh making 55whp less with his custom AP tune after working with Christian for several months to "dial it in".... i think alot can be gained from that. Maybe the AP has continued to improve.... i feel that is certain. But if you insist on belittling what seems so obvious to everybody else..... then you can be just as easily chidded for ap circlejerking as we are for the cpe dicksucking...lol | |

My tuning with the standback didnt change, its done the same way. If anything they changed the standback based on my many findings that no1 fucken bothers to even look at. Timing different a/f ratios in 4th gear if you start in 3rd as apposed to 4th. Recent maf discoveries that cpe is writting a paper on soon. aka maf clip and load In the end, my "tuning" is exactly the same, the only thing i learned about was pid tunning, which is nec with a big turbo and these stupid restrictor pills. But yea, thx for trying. btw i did not come in here saying the ap is shit, i came in here saying the ap did not cause that car to blow. However after reading that his ass ran a mbc on a ap car that gets its load calcs off the boost....yea the ap probably blew that car, but not because of hte tune, its becuase of the end user. I remember when i tried running boost control ontop of the ap...im sure you all remember that thread as well | |

Now the only people who complain are the AP diehards.... and the arguments have been rare. Thats fine... it makes for good discussion when it does happen. Eventually the AP could be the shit..... loosh sure used to think it would. But until then.... this real tuner in person argument is pure speculation and cloudy smoke. Thats a fact. Another fact..... 12 months ago... Loosh was preaching from the hilltops that the standback sucked. AND.... THAT THE AP WOULD ROCK!!!!! I had that argument with him for months while release dates continued to be pushed back. he was a HUGE advocate of waiting for the AP. In the meantime the standback v2 got released, the software was updated, and the APs release was the biggest busted egg in tunercar history. Dont blame loosh likes hes pot this kettle that.... these companys themselves are responsible for exactly what theyve ended up getting. loosh has simply stated/ tested what works and stated/ tested what hasnt. And hes done it for EVERYBODY. Since when is that supposed to be a bad thing. If anything it lends credibility to what he supports, and what he doesnt. I gaurantee you if racetuner is released and has ANY benefit, chris will be one of the guys in the country pioneering it and running it. He'll probably figure the shit out more than cobb has. i know right now, id almost rather have chris tune my standback than cpe. hes become that good. Now im gonna shut up cause i sound like i want to have his baby but my points still stand. | |
