alright so i want my speed 3 to be a bit louder (dont judge me lol) looking for srt4 sound around there. Should i cut a resonator or buy a borla, hks system?? does the exhaust system gain more HP or thats just a waste of money? and better do the resonator?

Just cut your reses off, we don't make enough power after the cat to justify the price Of a aftermarket exhaust IMO. Both sound good

Sniper, I see you have the Corksport rp/dp combo. How loud is that? I have those but I haven't put them on yet.

Dude just cut off the resonator i have an hks exhaust and it does sound great but thats about it. It really doesn't add any hp at all its pretty much just for the sound. If i could go back i would have gotten a dp and tp and some other good stuff with the money i pd for my exhaust. Hope this helps.

cut the resos off and it'll sound 10x better than a srt4.

Question about cutting the resonators out then...if u do it to a stock exhaust and need to take a trip to the dealer then what? Are u boned? Or do they not care?

its pretty loud at idle when you do cold start, normal driving you dont really hear it, but once you step on the gas and go at it, that combo screamsss, ill do a video tmw and post it on here for ya

i have a race pipe and deleted one res and im in love with the sound. debating doing a second res or not.

2nd reso is a good idea on a stock car i love mine cuz it is not to loud and give a lil gurgle every now and then i love it.. thinking about doing the other one too i am not sure yet though!!

Depending on the dealership, you'd most likely be fine cutting out a res. At worst, they'll just not warrant anything that breaks on your cat-back. They're not gonna void a warranty if your engine blows up because you cut out the stupid sound deadener (resonator) from the exhaust.

I have 2 of my resonators cut out. Sounds pretty damn good I think. I took it to the dealership to get the turbo looked at and they didn't say shit. Actually, when I was leaving one of the guys that works there was like "sounds good man." So you should be alright.

I have 2 res cut out...sounds really great. Definitely a worthwhile 50 bucks.

im getting the center large muffler replaced with a magnaflow straight through muffler next week some time.. ill report back

My local dealership loves my mods. The mechanics are always asking me about things I've done and how fast it is. Would they warranty it as it...probably not...but they are friendly as hell that's for sure.

i had one of my resonators removed and it sounds mucho better but i am thinking about having the other removed too.
