Changed oil...look what i found attched to drain plug...

I pulled the pan and changed the squirter. My final conclusion after looking at it and having it looked at by a few engineerig frieda of mine was that the brazing on the squirter failed and it just broke apart. There was no evidenvce pf contact on the broken squirter.

When I installed the new one I turned the engine over several times to be sure it was not contacting the rod and or piston

Did you do the engine assembly yourself jarod? Are you positive it wasn't over torqued in any way?

Cruzito had the same issue as you, and i just want to know if this is one of the things to look out for. May be best to torque to the low end of the spec and use a dab of lock tight. Dunno.

spnkr21's machine shop had to tweak his oil squitters so they wouldn't hit the pistons/rods. my oil squitters were actually touching the skirt of the pistons and chopped them off. when they installed new squitters they had to tweak them a bit to avoid contact with the pistons.
both spnkr21 and I are running the same Wiseco piston as the OP.

Yes I believe they did just bend them a little. I'm not sure if they knew they were touching by turning the motor over or if wiseco said to do it somewhere. Ruzito knows what happens if you don't do that .

they bent them just a bit, i couldn't really tell though.

when they install your wiseco pistons keep an eye on this.

I did not do the assembly on my bottom end. However there was no mention of having to tweak the squirters. When i installed the new one and turned the motor over it did not contact the piston in anyway. I am not sure that its a wiesco issue for sure. The machine shop that did the assembly said they did not have to tweak them either.

I'll be doing my own assembly, so i'll keep a damn close eye on it, and take some pictures for all of us. Would be nice to nail down the mystery of dropping squirters.

I don't think it's much of a mystery. If you bend them first you won't find them in your oil pan. That's just me though.
