This was my solution on my old ZX-poo. Tranny was out multiple times on that car (I swear the diff was made of plastic on that pos), and after the first time fighting with the axles and giving up I just went straight to pulling them out with the knuckle. I thought it made things easier to just get it all out of the way.

yeah. As long as I can grind down the end of the axle that I hammered flat so that I can get the axle nut back on it, lmao.

seriously. Ask tech/sales@em , he came over the other night and helped me manhandle the trans kinda back into position. I thought the axle spine portions were hardened steel? lmao.

tomorrow it gets ground down to allow the nut back on. haha.

I was only using a 3lbs sledge.

To get and axle out ive always just used a prybar between the trans and axle shaft. If it doesnt pop out give a slight tap on the axle with a hammer while prying.

I left my transfer case and passenger side axle attached.

Im pretty sure not having a transfer case will make it much easier for you.

Speed6 axle nut is 35mm, another most common size is 32mm

yup speed 6 is 35!!
