Default Clutch problem please help

Ok my ACT clutch has been perfect since install until today. I was leaving a deal out worken and was doing a simple 1st gear engagement and it felt like something in the engagement "caught" in between being engaged and not engaged and it stuck there. Like when I barely release the pedal the clutch is trying to engage but it doesn't fully release into gear til you completely pull your foot back all the way of the pedal. But I could still drive around though feels very strange. then after driving around I did a car pass in 3rd and it slipped a little. So I babied it all the way home and then rite before I got home I just BARELY got on it in 3rd and it immediately it slipped like just driving home got it REAL HOT but I don't smell any clutch? The clutch-brake resivour is full and clean. PLEASE HELP! THANKS!

Well after Darksuns pm I think Its a clutch mechanical problem this sucks...

I just tried driving it around and it slipps in 3rd if I get on it a little but I can still drive it normally. I wonder if thats cause the disk isnt fully grabbing the flywheel?

do you have the pilot right bearing? apparently the pilot bearing that was shipped for our cars was incorrect.

heres the right part number from actman

Thanks to JumpingJackson we found out the issue on the pilot bearings. It is indeed a screwup on our part. The correct pilot bearing is our part number PB1030, not PB1005. Many apologies guys!

I think when they installed mine they just used the stocker as it was obviously the wrong part. I think its the slave cylnder, air in the slave cylnder or the throw out bearing is stuck fom my research so far. Luckly I can drive it around no prob but if I get on it any it slips.

Found this online diagnosis site

"If a newly installed clutch is slipping, the most likely causes would be oil or grease contamination, incorrect release system adjustment, a defective cable adjuster, a blocked clutch master cylinder port or binding slave cylinder, a misaligned or improperly installed release bearing, or improper flywheel machining of a step or cup flywheel. One way to check for slippage is to test drive the vehicle and lug the engine at slow speed in high gear. If the engine races, you have confirmed the problem."

Yeah they reused the stock one because of that.

How many miles do you have on the new clutch and how many miles on your car?

Gsr maybe you ought to get ACT to send you the right pilot bearing and replace the stocker if they wind up tearing the clutch apart to find the problem.

Yea I would start with that, I usually replace mine everytime I replace the clutch. I also replace all the bearings too so if that pilot bearing has 62k on it, you should be replacing that as well.

Wouldn't a bad slave, air in line, etc be more of an issue if you could not get the clutch to disengage? I would assume that those things would not prevent the pressure plate from pushing the clutch against the flywheel but would be more likely to prevent the force required to compress the pressure plate.

Is the slave failing in such a way that it keeps pressure on the clutch and that then leads to slippage?

I went to the dealer for another issue and they said it doesn't sound like the slave cylinder. Something internal in the clutch... Also I looked inside that boot on the slave and theres no fluid or anything.

I bet its the same problem as mine. The clutch diaphragm is broke and the fingers are bent. I took my tranny off last Friday to see what was wrong with mine.
