Clutch recommendations

At 70,000 and about to (finally) have the money to get a FMIC, Hi-flow Catted Downpipe and high flow catted test pipe to add to my already installed intake. I'm not looking to go nuts so I'm going to use a conservative ECU upgrade, but this should all still net a nice bump in power. I'm at the point where the clutch should be due soon anyway, so I'm going to do that at the same time. Is there a general consensus as to what brand to go with? I'll probably replace the flywheel with something a little lighter at the same time. I'm very concerned about the clutch choice as I see hugely varying reviews of the big name brands. This site seems to have the highest concentration of modded maniacs, so I figure this is the site to ask about clutches.

Superskaterxes vouches for these guys ^^^ and dj just put one of their clutches on his car (2 of the most reputable people on this forum). I'm placing my order tonight (details aleady worked out) as well. Lots of choices too.

Also, although I have yet to see how the product performs, but I can say that this guy is super quick (even on Sunday in my case) at responding to emails and very helpful w info as well.

I can't pm yet, so here goes.

Thank you for the reply. My ship comes in probably sometime in November (estate clears probate - sucky way to get a bunch of money, but it is what it is) so it will be a little while longer before I order anything.
I just realized that there are two links in your post. It appears I will want the kevlar complete kit with lightweight flywheel, although, like some others, I kind of wish there was a middle ground, something that saves a few pounds but not enough to invite chatter.
Please send a message with a price quote.

I don't have too much time right now to give any background to this, but I'd definitely shop around before getting a clutch. There's plenty of horror stories out there about aftermarket clutches for our cars. CKmazdaspeed3 above me is probably right. The worst I hear is ACT.

Good luck, I'll be in the market soon too. My car is at 40k, but the last owner was a female. Nuff said.
