CLUTCH SMELLED AFTER REVERSE
 

ok so here is what happened... my buddy drove my car when i wasn't in it the other day... he said he was having trouble finding first so means that he kept starting my car in 3rd.... now he back up the car to park and smelled the clutch... the next day I drove the vehicle not hard and i backed up the vehicle as well to park... I smelled my clutch..... i haven't smelled it after a long road trip but now my clutch pedal feels very soft and I am nervous that it may be going out... it is not slipping yet but it feels like it got burned up pretty bad.... If i do replace it myself(with help from a mechanic) what parts do I need to replace the clutch exactly

First, grab a bat and beat your friend.

Second, keep driving your car the smell will go away after a few days.

buy a full clutch kit and a flywheel if you like or resurface the factory flywheel. but everything will be there.
