cold weather is comming should I pull mods?

I never did this on any of my other cars but with the issues this car tends to have I was thinking of swaping some of my mods back to stock for the winter, like the testpipe and such. what o you guys think? i hear alot of cold weather issues with this car and I'd like to not have any issues to deal with when its 10* outside. thanks

well you have an AP so if you work with christian he can fix you up. i had cold weather cut and he adjusted something and boom its gone.

bro if you knew how much fun I had last night buckin up and down 24 last night on my snow tires, you wouldnt consider it
stock is never the answer
150+ on 16" snows is interesting to say the least... tread squirm ftsmp (for the shit my pants!)

if you are free tomorrow night around 7pm you should come by starfucks in NK (exit 5 off rt4), gonna be meeting with the subie boys like I normally do assuming its not shitty weather

I hate the cold myself with this car. I am def gonna try and find time tonight to pull my 3.5 ETS off the car. It went on after the weather got cold so I don't know if it's my setup or the weather, but I can rarely go wot cause I overboost and cut probably 75-80% of the time.

The real dilemma is do I hold onto it or try and sell it. I know I need the money but if I am going to want to go with an upgraded intercooler in the spring I am throwing away cash. So is it the weather, or is dp/tmic just causing me to overboost? Thoughts?

my car pulls way harder with this cold weather..ok now WAY harder but you can tell it runs better. All I have is a sri though. I think heated seats should be installed...its cold as hell here.

I just turned down the boost when I put the winter tires on.

I've got a Cobb SRI, RPMC inlet, Forge BPV and the ETS 3.5. Spikes at about 19 and holds around 16. I have not gotten cut yet. Your DP could be the culprit.

lestat13 12-03-2008 08:35 AM

I am going to have the factory downpipe put back on. Since my turbo is smoking anyway, it seems like a smart idea. I replaced my ETS 3.5 for the factory tmic last night, also swapped my cobb sri for the corksport intake w/ inlet. Something must be leaking (even though I check everything twice) cause I spike at 14, hold around 10-12, and knock like crazy (upto 7!!!!!!) under 2000 rpms when I try to give it more than a touch of throttle.

So yeah, I'm gonna fix the shit that's wrong, find out what the culprit is, get it to stock, get my turbo fixed (smoke coming in through the vents in the car now), and then prob throw all my intake side mods back on.

I hate my life

lestat that shit sucks, I'm thinking of taking the race pipe off some I'm not freezing mya ass off laying on a cold garage floor trying to pull it off in january if something goes wrong.

lestat13 12-03-2008 08:54 AM

You are only AP stage 1 so you don't need the racepipe to maintain that tune. If you are starting to get cut issues now I would say put it back, it might very well help you keep boost pressure down by increasing backpressure. Honestly though, I don't think you should have any issues. Then again, people said that about my setup.....

That's right, I'll add what I'm running to my sig. I ghosted on here for about 6 months while on 247. I've only recently been making myself known on here.
