| Not Ranked : 0 score Did you plan to mod without getting a tune. Cause in that case almost everything you do will net you absolutely nothing. Just saying if you get the 2.5 your gonna want and need the 3 inch sooner than later and just need to rebuy everything. IMO spend the money and get the whole 3 inch set up. Then tune! |

1. You need to read more before asking more questions. The questions you're asking evidence a serious lack of understanding of the MZR DISI. 2. You're disregarding the tuning wisdom that is ALL OVER THIS SITE. You need an AP if you're going to put flow-mods on the car and hope to run safely for the long haul. 3. If you don't have the money for a TIP or an AP, you sure as hell don't have money for a new engine. 4. IMHO I wouldn't even put a TIP/Intake on without the means to monitor what the engine is doing. I'm a little more paranoid than most about this, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I have the CS SRI/TIP combo and while it sounds pretty good being that it is a metal TIP, its been put into words by several tuners on the site here that there are gains to be had, even on a K04, running a larger diameter SRI/TIP. I'll likely be upgrading mine at some point.
