Haha well today i was told i do have a leaky injector also a fucked up intake valve and they have more lookin around to do still. I haven't ordered any parts yet even but at this point i'm wonderin if i should go forged or if my rods and pistons check out to just fix it up and sell this fucking piece of shit. I'm SO discouraged with this car anymore its always somethin fuckin up!!!!

Opinions guys to forge or not to forge?!!! I'm already droppin a grip for labor might as well go for the gusto. So you guys either talk me down from the ledge or push me off

You is a fool you can get a stock motor in there for 3200 installed sell your old motor for 1k-1500 Then trade in the car. Thats the cheapest solution and you can be back on the road in 2 weeks tops

You didnt use forged internals.

Labor alone is 4500 between pullin the block breakin it down fixin the seal and intake valve readjusting the valve guides and all the other cleaning and prep before reassembling the motor. Yeah fucking ridiclulous i know. The 5 hundred is from new bearings, gasket set, the valve and new rings thats it. I'm not too happy but hey live and fuckin learn

the pistons are fine. The leaking injector seal and messed up intake valve caused the compression issue. Pullin the block is runnin me 2300 and the motor work is 1900. And parts are 500. So if hearin $4700 makes u feel any better thats where it stands.

Shittiest thing is for all those guys who are forged whats to stop an injector seal from leakin and causin shit for them strong internals or not ya know. Weak shit mazda

Dude that's some CRAZY labor charges. Even at $100 and hour which is ridiculous, they would have to spend 45 hours on your car to hit $4500... Unless the mechanic is blind and retarded there is no way it took that long...

On a side note, I am begining to wonder if the injector seals are fine and it is just a weak rail that cant hold the injectors in place well enough to seal. I have a rail sitting here and I really dont think it can handle those kind of pressures without flexing. Along that same line of thought, the Ecotech which Ford is running uses a very similar DISI system and they had to redesign the fuel rail because it was flexing and causing injector seal leaks.

Well it was 2300 to pull the motor and break it down then put it together and throw it back in. The machine shop labor is 1880 so yeah its a little less than 4500 but i rounded up lol either way shitty. Lesson learned i guess... For now

At $100/hr they are charging you for 23hr of labor lol, it shouldnt take them that long if they have lifts, proper tools, and training.

My pistons and shit are fine. That was just the initial diagnosis due to the 1st cylinder showin low compression. But sorry to hear that man oh well time for forged right lol
