Hopefully the PTP Driver side mount will be in tomorrow. (fingers crossed) Then I can install them both.
Hal should have his PTP DS Mount already, HEY HAL, you get it installed yet?

Just got back from my older two kids play, but before we left to go there I had 30 minutes to install it and I did lol. Well less than that 23 mins with taking pictures lol. Have not driven it yet since we took the wifes mini-van out tonight.
FYI: I did not have to support the engiine, probably because of my Turbine Tech Front Motor Mount lol. Others without this might have to support the engine. With my front mount it only dropped about 8th of an inch.

Remove the two 10mm bolt from PS and Coolant tanks and pull them away.

Remove 10mm bolt for ground wire. Remove two 17mm bolts and two 17mm nuts from mount.

Remove ground wire from frame/body. It won't reach anywhere on the mount, cuz the is no attachment on the new mount lol.

I used a screw driver to and pulled toward the front of vehicle to line up front bolt and got it started. Torque to how ever strong you are lol, j/k just tight and use some loc-tite.

Remember the ground wire? I removed it and moved to....

......here line mounts on head/valve cover to strut tower/body. Look at index finger and thumb.

Put the tanks back and walla done. Enjoy!

Hal should have his mount tomorrow and I have to get his email or number so I can get the directions over to him (not like he cannot install it with out them).

I hope that he gets a chance to install it this weekend, if not you should all start seeing your mounts showing up middle to the end of next week for sure and ready for instal that weekend.

I thought there were suppose to be more "RHOBUST" mounts? I guess if you look at the pictures the stocker looks to have more material surrounding it and the base to bolt it down on to the motor even looks smaller? Then again it could just be me and the wacky juice I have been drinking all night... you decide since these are the first side by side pictures I have seen so far.

True the stocker has more meat. But from what Darkstar says,
"Perfect Upgraded Mount since the Stock Mounts wear out too Quickly; This is Common issue found on stock unit!!!

Hardness rubber mounts create more strength than OE rubber mounts. Immediately experience the feedback from engine acceleration. Reduce Engine movement significantly. Provide the maximum output under engine acceleration. Compound with high anti-vibration and 65 durometer rubber material.

The bracket on the mount is made up of a harden steel.

Solid 60 duro rubber core.

Lifetime replacement warranty "

is this passenger mount even necessary if you have a m3m engine torque damper?

my plan is to run the transmission mount + upgraded bracket....i already have a cp-e rear mm....i also got the m3m etd on order....so my dilemma is, should I pick up an aftermarket pass side motor mount? my impression is, the etd should do the job well on the pass side?

even if you have an upgraded rear mount plus ETD, there is no guarantee that the stock mount wont fail. From what i understand the darkstar mount is a solid rubber piece rather than a liquid filled mount which is supplied stock. Which means that you don't have to worry about popping your hood one day and seeing mount spooge all over your engine bay.

I would also speculate that adding an ETD will actually increase the likelyhood of the stock mounts failing, since reinforcing any one part of the mounting system will correspondingly transmit more stress to the unreinforced parts. However this is just my speculation, someone like enganear or ssinstaller, jhershorin or one of the other fender monkeys would be the guys to talk to concerning stress factors on the mount system. apologies for the threadjack.

Drove it some today, slow and fast, hard and easy. I don't feel anything different, which is great lol. No extra vibrations, no nothing. I also think that the SU rear mount and the TT Front mount takes up most of the egnine movement anyways. But I'm sure it does it part. Someone without any aftermarket mounts and just using this should feel a difference.

I've already order everything that you are talking about...i have a TRZ derlin rear, PTP tranny, M3M ETD, and this Darkstar part...

It is my opinion that mazda does somethings well and others not so well...and i guess that is probably universal, but when people's fucking engines start dropping out of their cars....i buy all new mounts. If mazda cant design one to hold up...whats to say that the others will.

There was a time, when i first bought this car, that people were saying "oh the stock suspension is fine, just get springs"...and now people have blown shock on 25k miles...and i have had BC's for 6-8 months...

I'm just saying g money....:friday:

Just got back from checking the mail and did some hard launches, noticed no wheel hop. Hmmmmm, I will have to do more lauches in the rain with 40 psi in the tires and see if this dose eliminate most of the wheel hop.

after seeing the darkstar piece...well, i havent gotten my PTP driver's side, but i personally think that they (darkstar and whoever) did a great job on the passenger side.

I guess that i like the fact that i will have a piece by both companies... mainly because they both strike me as reputable good guys who make good products...

I currently have this passenger mount and love it. Still waiting on the ptp tranny mount as well.

Anyway nice write up bio. I like your ground wire solution. I used a bolt on the engine cover to attach mine. Borrowed one of your pics to illustrate:
