this turned from jbr/sure tig material comparison to a fanboy all out war.

main difference between the two:

jbr tig
-only comes in one thickness but stackable
-comes with vaccum caps and barbed coupler for coolant bypass

sure tig
-two choices of thickness

both will perform equally and material is the same...made from virgins

As gay as it sounds, a pretty box brings a feminine approach to a masculine hobby... that is my opinion and I'm going to share it every chance I get because I think nice boxes for car parts is just stupid. You don't and I'm sure that I am not going to change your opinion.

Other than the names, boxes and price points, I don't think I said anything bad. In fact, I don't think (I could be wrong) that I have ever commented on the quality of your products one way or the other... oh, I made fun of the worm clamps once.
LOL. I am about to order the "stealth clamps" for the bpv hoses and maf to filter today.

Different strokes I guess.

Finkle WTF are you doing on here at 4:47? Anyway, my clamps are holding well at my 26psi boost spike (which I need to tune out) and heave been on for 30000 milesish. But I was only mentioning my unfair bashing of them because I wanted my statement to be accurate. I wasn't really trying to protract the debate.

And mono, tigs do that much? My jbr gasket has been sitting on top of my work bench forever... maybe after cbe install today, I should throw it on.

Narcoleptics have, well, different sleep habits.

My clamps are fine too, but the stealth clamps are pretty.

Seriously another thread about JBR to SURE. i have products from both companies on my car. Both companies make great products at about the same price. Its really your decision as to which one you want.

my package didnt come with instructions per se, but it did have notes stating to use the washer on the lower bolt hole and torque evenly to 19-25 ft-lbs to prevent cracking. and its not that complex of an install if you know what your doing (belt, ps pump, 7 bolts, egr, pcv). and to be fair anyone willing to take on doing modifications of their car should know what the benefits and risks are and plan or educate themselves accordingly.

and the packaging argument is weak. no one including SURE/Streetunit ever advertises their packaging. its just an extra upon arrival of the product, i see it as a thank you for purchase and a guarantee of quality. the only way perspective customers find out is by word-of-mouth or posts and pictures on here, which i suppose is the best advertisment anyway

hey, whatever you say man youre the expert. i just think as a vendor it shows your insecurity in your own product to bash another vendors product based on something as trivial as packaging. if you make a sound product it speaks for itself through places like this.

More class from JBR. [/sarcasm] Hey, should we talk about replacing MS6 shifter cables, Jamie? Or would you prefer that one says under the carpet.

Maybe you should stick to copying products like the TIG. Then all you have to do is write instructions.

Over the top packaging is gay, only increases costs and adds nothing from a performance perspective. Anyone who says the cost of that packaging is not factored in is lying or knows nothing about business. Every expense is reflected in the bottom line...basic economics.
Mark has stated repeatedly that the packaging is inexpensive and does NOT increase costs. Are you calling him a liar?

THis is how you KNOW SURE is impacting Jamie's sales. He's resorting to lame attacks.

Immature punk-ass tactic. Reflects poorly on JBR.

That's good, so why do you feel SO compelled to attack another vendor who, frankly, has never, ever said anything negative about you, your company, or your products?

You're unprofessional and act more like a punk kid than a vendor I'd ever buy something from. And that's too bad, since you do make good products.

Man up, Jamie. Provide PROOF that Mark, Street Unit, or SURE make their products more expensive through packaging. Otherwise, you're just blowing smoke.

JBR,

I hope you realize that as a vendor, you do not have the same rights of bashing other vendors as regular users here. You have agreed to a completely seperate TOS, that you are violating by bashing another vendor.
