You guys need to understand torque multiplication, dumping the entire weight of the rotating assembly and flywheel at 5000+rpm through the first gear ratio is almost certainly more than 10,000ft/lb of torque and that drivers side rear axle sees most of it. There is no metal on earth that is going to take that kind of torque for very long.

Honestly though, since all of them broke in the same spot, DSS has an engineering problem.

u're right, or not DSS, but there is a fail in Mazda's construction, cause problem is with left axle.

Although this is correct, i know we are not the only platform on earth snapping axles like this. And we certainly are not the most powerful. There are platforms making twice the power launching just as high with a lower failure rate than us. But as stated, its likely just a fault of DSS engineering.
