| Not Ranked : 0 score its rice because this is purely looks and not performance. a bmw m3 can quite justify multiple exhaust tips with its 4 LITER V8. an ms3... not so much. your ms3 is no m3. why stop at 4 tips? put 8 on there. i'm sure this forum would be drooling all over that "sick ass shit". people like this give ms3 a bad name. wait till this gets out on other forums and ms3 owners reputation for being ricers gets even worse. we're already the "new srt-4" and this doesnt help at all. this does nothing for performance at all. this is purely looks. period. no way a 2.3L turbo 4 justifies 4 tips unless they were straws. therefore rice. this does not suprise me though, based on most of the other crap here which passes for "performance mods". |

its not a regular 3. its a Mazda 3 MPS, which is what everyone not in America calls the Mazdaspeed3. to each their own. i think it looks nice and clean. if function is all youre after, go put a 3inch straight pipe on it and move on. "rice" to me describes things like undercar neons, obscenly large spoilers, body kits that dont fit and arent painted, etc. this is functional, it looks nice and if it has a larger diameter and less restriction than stock than it performs better. thats win/win/win.

I have an MS6 and the only reason I still have a dual exhaust is because I don't want to have an empty hole in my bumper where the second pipe used to be. The only time you should have duals is on a setup like the 300ZX-tt. Each bank of cylinders has its own manifold, its own turbo, its own downpipe, its own catalytic converter (or not), and its own cat back exhaust. ANY time ANY car has more tips than pipes at any point along the exhaust, it is done purely for looks and/or sound. That doesn't necessarily mean it's automatically rice, but you will never see any of that BS on any of my cars.

| Not Ranked : 0 score An inside source at Mazda told me that the original intent was to have a larger exhaust on the MS6 but they made it smaller for noise reasons. Then they wanted to have the larger exhaust as a mazdaspeed part, but that didn't work out either. Supposedly the reason the exhaust was never an option and the holes were left so big were both decisions somewhat forced on Mazda by FoMoCo to save money. The MS6 as originally designed by Mazda was nearly identical in weight to the MS3 and included 4 piston front and 2 piston rear calipers.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Its retarded. It looks kinda cool, but I'm with JM and Eazy. NEVER on any of my cars. Ever. I think it's retarded to have dual exhaust on an inline engine unless it offers a performance benefit. I think its retarded that they're on the STi, EVOX, M3, and MS6.
