oh haha, i see where your coming from, i was meaning putting the plate in but putting the tube back on.
ok so what if i put the plate inbetween the tube and its mounting place with a small hole in it and bolted it back on? basically it would restrict it greatly like yours, no? of course i'd just need to put a double gasket on or use some high temp silicone. is that essentially what you did? just put in a big restrictor in the tube? i'll just put the plate i have with a small hole in it. What size drill bit did you use to make the whole? 1/8th inch or larger?

Fuck, my bad for never replying.

When I bought the PTP I/M spacer, they included a little press in bung(the same as their B/S delete plug, for reference), which I used to press into the actual EGR tube. You don't want to use a plate, if you plan on restricting the EGR, since the EGR tube will most likely not screw back into the I/M.

Here's a pic of my first pressed in bung:

As you can see, I drilled a pretty large hole, so I removed it. I later went to ace and picked up a bunch of bolt covers or things I could press into the tube. Once I got one to fit, I drilled a tiny(maybe 1/8" or smaller, I cannot remember) hole, and put the tube back in.

I'm gonna clean out the EGR valve soon, cause I'm sure there's a bit of backed up gunk in there, but after 10k, no CELs. The EGR still flows a tiny bit, which you can see from my clean I/M pic, with the tiny bit of soot coming from the EGR port. That's just what I wanted, a little bit of flow, but not enough to harm the clean air entering the I/M, and totally gunking up the I/M.

sweet. let us know how much gunk is built up in the egr valve. I'm just gonna use the plate and do 1/8th for now and see the results.

perhaps cobble will tackle it in their next update. lol.
2 years later, maybe they won't.
idk if they can do it.
idk if anyone has a solution for that aside from not really deleting it...
did you and chris talk about egr delete regarding silver surfer's thoughts on egr delete?

No this is something that John (PT-P) did when they built the short block. Chris did say it would be easy to reverse if I ever needed to.

silver surfer is under the impression that the ecu uses egr to calculate other things happening in the car.
talk to chris or silver surfer about it.
idk silver surfer or his thoughts, i'm just regurgitating my understanding of what chris said ABOUT silver surfer's thoughts.
it should be easy to reverse, but idk what john did to block off the shit.
if he welded those holes shut...then umm...have fun.
but if he just used a block off plate and a big plug, then you should be fine.
