Finally got an SRI! Got a used one with extra tube and bracket. Installed it. It's PHAWKING LOUD! Jesus I can hear the FORGE BPV working thru every gear and the turbo spool up! Is it supposed to be this loud? Is it gonna be even louder with an aftermarket inlet pipe? IT's waaaayyyy louder than a NA engine with a SRI. I have to accelerate slow and shift under 2300RPMs just to keep it quiet lol. Quick shift gets the normal chaaang and louder, slow shifting with slowly letting off the gas gives the Supra wachwachwachwach (which is cool). Noticed the Cobb tube was sitting on the recurculation tube, so I pulled up and push backed toward the battery on the SRI bracket. Now there is 3/4 spaced between them. Installed the Injen Hydroshield also (I'm very water concious lol Precautionary). Fits the Cobb filter snug around the band. http://www.freedomcomputers.net/ms3/...i/cobbsri0.JPG http://www.freedomcomputers.net/ms3/...i/cobbsri1.JPG http://www.freedomcomputers.net/ms3/...i/cobbsri2.JPG http://www.freedomcomputers.net/ms3/...i/cobbsri3.JPG http://www.freedomcomputers.net/ms3/...i/cobbsri4.JPG http://www.freedomcomputers.net/ms3/...i/cobbsri5.JPG http://www.freedomcomputers.net/ms3/...i/cobbsri6.JPG |

It's definitely loud. Why hydroshield an SRI? |

I definitely miss that noise. Loved it but it went away when I got my CS FMIC. |

mmmm... great sounds... have you considered playing with different shim/spring combos in you Forge BPV? when i had mine the only time it fluttered seemed like a pretty solid case of compressor surge. it does sound kick ass though... can anyone compare sounds from a CAI to a SRI? love the sound of my CAI but might get an SRI, but my current noises put a smile on my face :-) |

I would, but not for water those filter down to like 5 microns or thousandths, or something really small. while these open element cotton oiled filters appear to have very large holes that aren't even close to being uniform |
It's almost like what's the point then, in doing an intake at all? If it's just more liability? |
