First timer on engine mounts. Help? I just bought a 2008.5 GT and the engine shakes and shifting is sloppy feeling. I would like to purchase engine mounts and transmission mount. Am looking for comfort and performance. Any brand that bring both in one package? |
Most likely you'll want a new rear motor mount. check out the vendors on the site for manufacturers. You need to decide if you want comfort soft or racecar hard. And search ffs. There are a shit ton of motor mount threads. |
do you know what motor mount is on the car right now? is the car stock? |
Sure motosports is what your looking for. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2 |

JBR's mounts are scientifically engineered to concentrate the vibrations to the drivers testical/taint region which is why all JBR customers are happy and don't complain about vibes. Can't argue with science I don't make the rules. @jbarone; Tapatalk LIKE A BOSS! |

What durometer did he have for the sure mounts? I have a 6 and they are yet to be released. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2 |
i think there 65a if im not mistaken or 70a tops...he has a mazdaspeed6 as well |
Unless he is sures test driver Im pretty sure they aren't avalible for the 6 yet. The group buy is still going. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2 |
StreetUnit.com - Premier MAZDASPEED Performance Specialists ever heard of it? The RMM is available. |
jbr 88. the more vibrations the more comfortable you're ride is |
jbr 88. really. i had a trz dogbone to begin with and loved it. the cabin drone drove me nuts, though, so i switched to the old school sure rmm. it was too sloppy. then i went to the jbr billet 80. it was tighter but still too much engine movement. so i finally came back to the dogbone, but got a jbr 88 this time. i love it. in the meantime i also have a jbr 80 tmm and an 80 pmm. if you can afford it, it's worth changing all the mounts. i slowly did all mine as the stock ones failed and wished i'd done them all together. |
Oh sorry I got confused and thought we were only talking about the two side mounts, I've been following the group buy thread haha. I have the CP-E rear motor mount and I like it, very little vibes. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2 |

Nice! I preordered the S6 side mounts. I hope they come out soon lol |
I've got the JBR Chrome molly, (same design as the dogbone). NVH is up a little at idle and is only really noticeable when decelerating around 3300 to 2900 rpm. My wife noticed it during the break in but doesn't notice it at all anymore. Very happy with his customer service as i'd ordered some new bushings for my RSB, one bushing was defective, emailed him back and within 30 minutes i had a shipping code for a replacement. |
