Once solved will the guys who bought this already get it shipped out to them free or for minimal charge?

Re: Heavy Shift Knob that doesn't cost $100+

If the solution is free or minimal charge.

HLR Element 01-04-2010 09:15 PM

^ lol... what were you thinking to solve that issue? i was planning just taking off the shift knob or going back to stock when it was sunny out... lol, it's like how people take the wheel off their bike so people don't steal it, hard to drive without a knob lol

HLR Element 01-05-2010 09:11 PM

What happened to the dozens of people that were interested?

Step 1 - We made it less than $100
Step 2 - We made it heavy as hell
Step 3 - We did the 6sp pattern like a lot of people wanted
Step 4 - We offered it in black and polished
Step 5 - BUY THIS THING PEOPLE!!!

Thanks :)

jack_hammer 01-07-2010 06:32 AM

no, i'm serious. the rear was a little trickier b/c i didn't have a template. but i got it on w/o too much work.

How-to: Make & install your own Mud flaps / guards for less than $5

That is correct.

The weather here was horrific and I think that may have delayed shipping a bit.

Jamie

HLR Element 01-11-2010 03:02 PM

Still don't see the option. I want the black knob with red lettering and the shift plate. On his site it doesn't even have black knobs as an option. I'm ready to buy now though. :D

Hang in there. I did not receive the knob yesterday as we anticipated. hopefully today.

Thanks,
Jamie

E4Performance 01-12-2010 12:09 PM

due to the powdercoating proces, black with red writing is not going to be available unfortunately.

Colored numbers are only going to be available on polished knobs.

Jamie,

according to fedex, your package is delayed until at least tomorrow due to weather. Sorry.

Cool, will do. As soon as it's available I'll be ordering the black knob with the blue SSP package. Sucks that we black knobber's can get colors patterns but o well. I'll just paint it myself with some model paint or sumfin. :D Can't wait to get this, really excited. And thanks you two for building these quality kick ass parts and making a package deal. Friggen awesome... almost feel like I'm stealing, lol.

HLR Element 01-12-2010 03:40 PM

damn fedex... thanks for the update tho, i'll just use touch up paint and a toothpick to paint it lol, good thing i have a true red =]... i'll be getting a blue SSP too, blue engine bay theme i kinda got going

That won't work. Powdercoat, by nature, is designed to be resistant to paint and chemicals.

HLR Element 01-12-2010 05:31 PM

^ damn... even the paint meant to stick to our car paint? o well, I know where the gears are anyway haha

ihadacivicsi 01-13-2010 01:38 PM

I have the TWM knob but don't understand why they are so expensive. I had a Skunk works shift knob for my civic si that was half the price of the TWM shifter.

tozfeekum 01-13-2010 01:46 PM

Is it possible to make the knob have a stainless steel finish more like this:

That might be possible in the future but not on the radar right now.

You can do something similar by taking a brillow pad to a polished knob and then coating it with flat clearcoat.

jracer 01-13-2010 03:09 PM

is the speed6 short shift plate ready ?? and the black knob ?
