Help!!!!! Just bought a speed 6. Cars awesome besides one little problem. Occasionally when I start the car it won't shift into gear. The clutch is all the way down but for some reason it won't engage. Once i shut the car off it goes right into to gear no problem. Start it again and no go. I replaced the slave cylinder today and bleed they'd whole system real good. Any help is appreciated. Never any problems while driving. |
Likely the wire on the starter alittle coroded |
How would the starter affect the clutch? |
I would look into changing the tranny fluid. Is it usually cold out? |
It happens weather it's cold or no. Very random. Somebody told me it could be the forks on the clutch are bend and sometimes they don't engage properly |
What happens if you start it in gear? |
Just jumps forward and doesn't start. As if the clutch is not letting up but the car thinks it is. |
Misread op linkage ok? Some have fd up cables..look under council also and try each gear. Grab trans shift mech , move by hand to make sure it works freely |
