it smooths out spark/ignition ... but that should be near the end of your goodies list

superskaterxes 01-03-2011 07:44 PM

only used if you have spark blowout problems

That can pretty much be cured by tightening the gap to .026-.028 even running 20+ psi. Don't waste your cash on that ignition shit.

What they said. It does help, but is not needed until many, many other things have been done first.

High boost spark blow out (which mimics load cut) is the only reason I could possibly think of for that ignition mod, and 99% of the time the cure is exactly what you suggest - tighten the gap on the plugs. If tightening the gap does not do the job, there are probably more serious problems than an ignition upgrade would fix, IMHO.

alright thanks for the info

xcoldricex 01-04-2011 02:34 PM

helped me, maybe could've cured it with new plugs though

xcoldricex 01-15-2011 01:01 PM

well, this made me go replace my plugs.

3 of them were drenched in oil and were at like .040 gap :(

Tokay444 01-17-2011 01:00 PM

Where did the oil come from? Is what I'd be wondering.

Agree with poster ^ . Oil? Oh shit. That's not a good thing. Maybe just carbon fouled? Hopefully? If that's oil, better get a compression test ASAP and brace yourself for bad news. I hope I'm wrong.

this has been mentioned before. most likely the valve cover gasket or our shit pcv system at work. oil was only on the threads.
