i kept mine on for about 4 months before it drove me fucking insane and i had to rip it out of there. When i went back to the stock mount it was live driving a totally different car. So much better on the stock trans mount.

The dynamic dampener (weight) is meant to work with the stock mount(s) to reduce noise and vibration. If you changed the mount, it is not longer "tuned" to your setup.

exactly how I felt. that's why it's not in my car anymore.. I wish CPE would come out with a softer one already.

I have 20K, probably more miles on mine. Other people notice the sound, I barely notice over the radio. Vibes with AC are minimal. I know radio off I hear the trans whine like its a rally car. But the reason I got it was the OEM bolt backing out and all hell breaking loose that was happening. No problems since I installed mine. I did not have a weight on my trans mount, not sure what the heck it is. I think the noise is there with all solid mounts, really. I have a CPE rear mount, not sure if that helps. Give it time. I have only heard of 1 TRZ transmission mount fail, and that was the bushing getting pushed through due to the washer bring installed on the wrong side.

its very hard keeping a part on the car that makes noises....im not so worried about the vibes... its the sounds that i find disturbing....and to me its always the same rule...if it sounds bad it most likely is...

fuck i hate this shit, stuff like this makes me regret fucking with this car. like how the fuck do i know that these extra vibrations and strain by not allowing any flex wont cause transmission problems down the line?

i have had some loud fucken cars man, shit ive run open headers to college for 6 months str8 with chains holding the motor stiff.... but when u hear other shit its kinda hard to ignore and just say ..ehh just some vibes

Yeah my wife hates the noise. But I am not worried about the fucking bolt backing out and snapping. Recalled years ago and fixed? Nope. I bought it from a guy who's post-recall MS3 had his engine fall the fuck out, caused a lot of long term problems after "fixed" and he eventually got rid of the car. My car is a recall-era 2006 built MS3, not taking chances.

Maybe someone with the SU mount can chime in on noise. The CPE transmission mount is due out sometime in 2016, so maybe it is quieter too.

It gets better in time - a lot of time. CP-E 60 rear helps a little compared to SU. I tried stuffing shit in there but nothing made any difference. It drives so much better I'm not giving it up, but I wanted to every day for some time when new ... it totally freaked me out how load it was at first.

You're driving a 2007 street car. I wouldn't put up with that shit. I went to CS inserts because they are quieter. I had loud annoying cars and eventually hated them. It's not just the amount of noise - it's the type of noise. If it bothers you, remove that shit - no reason to keep it on because people call you a pussy ... pussy

EDIT
The torque dampener I installed helps with shifting but it's not TOO loud ...

Man I definitely feel Lenny on the noises. I don't care about the white noise vibrations as much as the clang and bang noises from inside of the tranny I can hear now. But, now that I know others hear the same noises I am less worried.

I did not have a weight on my trans mount, not sure what the heck it is. I think the noise is there with all solid mounts, really. I have a CPE rear mount, not sure if that helps. Give it time. I have only heard of 1 TRZ transmission mount fail, and that was the bushing getting pushed through due to the washer bring installed on the wrong side.
swap the mount to a SU and see the difference. then put the TRZ back in and see how long you can take it. its fucking loud and rough

The torque dampener I installed helps with shifting but it's not TOO loud ...
which trq dampener did you install? I had the weapon R one when PG first started selling it, but I had to take it off eventually. Being bolted to the top of the strut tower, it seemed to transfer noise directly into the cabin. couldn't stand it after a while, so it got the boot. I'm good with just the RMM.

Ignalls Stiffy. Got it used and gave it a try. It's a little noisier but not bad and not harsh. I heard other ones were very harsh.

yesterday when i was driving i was zig zagging aggressively in the hopes the shit would settle into place or some shit.

ill give it til sunday and then maybe ill tighten toonly 70ft lbs instead of 90.... and maybe re do it to see if centering the studs on the 4 square holes of the mount does anything....

Seriously the kicker mount & upgraded RMM (CP-E) and NO wheel hop & very low vibes at idle and taking off. I know ptp has a bad rap but they really did a good job on the kicker and more importantly it works.

LOL at all the "oh it makes too much noise" and "the vibes hurt my vag"

MAN UP!!!!

This mount (along with the TRZ rear mount) makes so much a difference in the way the car drives as a whole it's ridiculous. It feels aggressive. Throttle inputs are immediate. No more delay as you wait for your engine to shift. Yeah it vibrates but it's a MAZDASPEED. If you wanted a nice ride and no vibrations should have gone and bought an old Buick!
