Not Ranked : 0 score However if we were capable of making 400+hp on a few bolt-ons....then yes, let the battle begin!

Not Ranked : 0 score actually with the bolt marking thing .. I don't remember seeing it on this car myself nor have I really looked for it... but on some of the bolts they should be marked.. I dont think its on the DP or manifold ... but maybe on some of the intake bolts (i dont know).. but thats not the point for me.. its the fact that techs can tell. usually you can't get everything 100% back to like it was.. there is going to be some sort of evidence of tampering.... even saying that most will not notice it or just ignore it.. so your safe... i see so many people get scared and put everything back to stock just to take it in for service.. there is just no need...

| Not Ranked : 0 score Some bolts probably are marked, but I don't see how this could hold up in court. You can always claim that you took out the part to inspect it because you have heard that some have been failing on other people's cars (rear motor mount for example) . Some pieces have to be removed to do checks on wearable parts (TMIC for example), so they can't bag you for that either. The only way I can see them sticking you in court for "proof" of an aftermarket part is by modifying one of the stock parts to make an aftermarket part work (WI/MI injector taps, etc). This is just a guess though.

Not Ranked : 0 score It's not just bolts, it could be something as simple as a different alignment from your re-install of the factory part, evidenced by something as simple as dust lines, or impressions in plastics. Someone good with a wrench, who has fresh, quality tools can leave no wrench marks, line everything up, and cover most traces if they're careful. But if you miss something and say you were just "checking something service related," to explain it, the question will be asked: "Why didn't you just take it to the dealer if you thought something was wrong with the car?" It's a legitimate question. I think one thing to keep in mind is that in these are tough times for all automakers, they're going to do everything they can to deny a major claim. I've said it before but big claims like new engines almost always need approval from a zone rep. These guy are as scared as anyone in the auto industry about keeping their jobs, right now, so saving their employer money is their #1 priority. It always was but the pressure is really on them now. If you're at all concerned about your warranty it just makes sense to be conservative and very careful about what you do to your car if you care about the warranty. If you have the money to build the motor up a lot, and don't care about your powertrain warranty, why on earth did you buy a brand new front wheel drive Mazda?? Wrong platform for that, IMO, unless you just love FWD compacts and have money to burn. I know some people are into that, but the logic behind it is seriously flawed, IMHO.

Not Ranked : 0 score Wow, I guess we cant even drive the car. If they dont get us for dust lines or impressions in plastic they will surely find something else!
