How much can a MS3 2007 take? What I mean is, right now im at approx 365hp and 380torque while boosting at 18lbs and several mods (downpipe, exhaust, fuel pump, programmer, coldair and others) How much can the transmission/clutch and engine tolerate in terms of boost and hp |
|
Those mods and boost on stock turbo wouldn't be near that much power unless you are talking to the crank and not the wheels with a ton of timing. The rods are normally good for 380-400wtq (I've been around that area for 7 months now and the car still runs great.) I noticed my clutch does not like my power and they are generally good for around 380wtq. Transmission is good for all sorts of power. I'd say most of the reliability has to do with the tuner and the way the car is maintained (stay out of boost under 3k rpms and never boost when the engine is not up to full operating temp). I'm sure people that have more knowledge than I will chime in |
lol. |

Mine is tuned on 94, has several mods/boltons. 365hp is around 315whp.. I dont see whats so funny. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We don't measure things in bhp. The majority of users here base their power estimates off of vdyno with a correction factor of 1.01 based off comparisons of real world dynos. So when you claim 365hp people are going to expect you have an upgraded turbo or you're inflating your numbers. |

I can't believe I didn't read anyone say, it depends on where you make the power. I bent a rod pretty much on a stock car by lightly getting into it at low RPMs. 365 is pretty good hp. I almost make that with a bunch of mods, trying to run 27psi..... |
Its pretty hard to cross 310 whp on the stock K04 on any available pump gas regardless of mods without running high ethanol blends. Many custom AP tuned cars here fully bolted but on stock turbo and pump gas are right at 300. These are tunes from the most respected e-tuners. Could you post a data log so we might see how you made you power? Log a WOT fourth gear pull from 3,000 rpm to redline and post. Maybe we all are missing something. Yes, you can safely make more power on the stock block, but it will take big turbo, high flowing manifolds and other mods beyond simple bolt ons to get where it seems you are trying to go. |
365 hp. L. O. L. |
Did the access port dyno tell you those numbers? |

Because I had to boost to 25PSI for 350whp at 40F ambient and to 26-26.2PSI for like 358whp at the same ambient. All these with a GTX3071R. Probably on a GTX3076R you'd need 1.5-3 less PSI of boost for the same air flow. So I have no idea what turbo are you using to get 365bhp with 18lbs (which equates to like 300-310g/s or air around 6000rpm), not even at 17-18 degrees of timing around the peak power RPM (in which case you'd not be using pump gas). |
Anything more than 263 crank is risky. |
|
LMAO, I wouldn't rely on the AP for power estimates. I have seen them north of 1,000hp. Post a 3rd or 4th gear log and someone will throw into virtual dyno for ya. |
The AP dyno is way off. Never correct. You should take a 4th gear log and upload the CSV onto v-Dyno then using a CF of 1.01 figure out your numbers. But you're more at 260-270whp on a COBB OTS with those modifications. Damn it @ms6mil; beat me to it. |
my 4th gear gave me 331wheel hp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk sounds more realistic cause i know for a fact i dont have 380 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Take and post a datalog. 4th gear (3k-6500 rpm) and let us break your heart. |

wont really break my heart LOL, i just asked a question and gave a small thread about my car. It can have 380whp (which it doesnt) or it can have 315whp, Its my "more of an everyday car" I have a modded camaro "to brag woth" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No? The Accessport just says that cause it can't figure out that your wheel is slipping? Dang. Virtual Dyno is the best bet. http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...al-dyno-85289/ |
How much can a MS3 2007 take? 4th at 325.60 whp |

Just post a log so that we can compare to what EVERYBODY else is using..........then you will get your answers as well :) |
He's not going to because he has a camaro to brag woth. |
1 Attachment(s) OP be like. |
I'm kinda dissapointed that we got the one camaro owner that doesn't think it is spelled camero. |
1 Attachment(s) Not bad OP, this car can "take" a good bit. I'm on the original K04 with 98K miles on it and still going strong mods are in my sig. Here is my latest Virtual Dyno from a few nights ago. Once you get a proper tune maybe you'll be pushing these kind of numbers. |
I love your dyno sheets plotting wheel spin :) |
