So I got my aluminum shifter bushings installed and what a difference they make! Best <$20 mod ever!

mines being a pain in the ass. heres some info ive been testing. i didnt have a rmm, now i do and will be reinstalling the ssp to see if i can still grind. i will be getting the ford fluid to see if it helps.

with the jb ssp 3rd would grind once the trans was very warm. now with the shifter back to stock i can get it to rarely grind. I cant get it to grind all the time with the stock shifter like i could with the ssp so its almost impossible to duplicate it for the dealer. from what ive gathered the ssp allows me to shift the trans to fast enough to have the syncros not align properly. Since the stock shifter is so sloppy and long its damn near impossible to make it grind.

BTW the ssp is not the reason the trans is acting like this.
