Inconsistent clutch

What's up everyone. So for the last year my clutch has been getting more and more inconsistent. It never really feels like it is fully disengaged.

If I hold it in for a few seconds it will engage right at the bottom and I've got to give it a few 'pumps' to get it to feel firm at the top again. Same feeling if I'm on the interstate for a while, it just feels like there is no resistance at the top of the pedal, and I've got to pump it a few times to get the firmness back.

Usually it engages right at the top but it feels like I've only got like a quarter inch of movement between engaged and disengaged, which makes driving just not as relaxing as I like.

Do these sound like symptoms of a bad slave or master cylinder? Any input would be awesome!

Thanks
Sean
