What? Obviously you didn't read the OP... I was NOT asking about HOW TO clean the intake valves... You're an idiot. I forgot that the point of public forums was to post once and leave...

One service I had looked at before and was offered to me as a dealer was TerraClean.
They have an option where they spray their solution into a running engine from the intake tube (or in this case the boost tube between the coldpipe and the throttlebody).

Specifically the machine they refer to is this:
TerraClean

Now some of the science behind TerraClean is a little wonky and some chemical engineers laugh at some of their material.
That said I had contacted a sales rep from TerraClean to try and locate a dealer that would offer this service.

I'll quote his response:

I asked the dealership how much the service was and it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $400 CDN.
Not worth being a guinea pig for that kinda bullshit money.

BMW does the media blasting, nuff said. If you could inject something I'm pretty sure they would be doing that instead.

I agree...

I'm going to be the guinea pig because for me its free. It also gives me a chance to fit somethingg to make it work as well as possible. I think I can have it done at retail for much less than that. Our cars are a lot easier to take off the intake then the 335's are. Especially if you have a front mount.

Here are some pics.

The machine. It has the media inside the canister and is hooked up to shop air

The connection from a shop vac, machine, and the intake port on the head. This is the part I will have to make. I have a spare head at the house to mate it to and ensure a tight fit to the cyl head ports.

How the connections go together.

With higher concentrations of E85 BAT heat makes little difference in performance but I didn't want to reuse a gasket. I always try to put things back together better than they were before. Lol.

Maybe a waste of money, but then again so is everything we all do to our cars. Hahaha

Agreed, I have 50k right now and only want to do this about every 50k.
I am going to do both though, B12 soap and scrub then vacuum out. Media blast second while vacuuming to keep dust/dirt down. TIG cause I live in Texas.
