thats tomorrow. so we dont know how it drives yet, but it runs well. i need to defeat the VCTS CEL. I need to tighten up a few things, but im pumped that it ran so smoothly on the first start... |
Nice work. |
The video is on my cell phone. He texted me and I was very sad that I was not there for the first start :( Its ok, I'll be there when he rips a hole in spacetime and travels to the year 3000 to hang out with Bender Bending Rodriguez. I am posting it nowish. |
i wanted to wait for you, but at the same time, i only had 12 minutes to try to start it, and shower and be ready for dinner... that video is a cell phone video... so its not great. but whatev. kurt, we're coming around 9:30 or 10 to go out. remember. no making out with aunt jane. |
its not much to look at.... but..... its all I got. (youtube video is processing) |

badass! |
Good job, just make sure you break it in right! |
Sweet dude! |
Looks great man. I hope you took lots of pictures. Can't wait to see them! |
Good work, I'm excited to see the final results. |
put 40 miles on it today. bleeding the clutch was a PITA. because when i hooked the fluid line back up to the slave, the rubber seal inside was cocked sideways so it was leaking when the pedal was pressed. It took me about an hour and a half to realize there was even supposed to be a seal on the plastic clip. It was still in the slave. anyways. im just happy i can drive it again now instead of the goofy buick ive been driving... now, to plan my trip to cp-e/p3 :) |
^ pm me lets go up together. i'll have everything except a tune by this time next weekend. |

Congrats. |
Thanks all. I really have to thank subparpunk. He'll tell you he was only a set of hands, but I couldnt have done it without him. MS3guy, what do you mean everything but a tune? I have my new maf parts (not welded together though) and my new map sensor should be here tomorrow. I think thats all i need other than some miles and an oil change, but im not sure when ill be able to make it. |

I got the aem 3.5 bar. In conjunction with a standback update, it allows you to accurately control up to 30psi. |

Keep us updates. looking good so far |
right, but your map sensor still is only 2.5bar, meaning, your standback will see full 5v from that sensor at 1.5bar of boost (21-22psi or so), so it cant control boost beyond that. |
