JBARONE Short Shift Plate Major Announcement


By now most of you are familiar with, or have purchased a short shift plate from me.
I need for those that have purchased a short shift plate from me to know I have a free update available that virtually eliminates the rubbing of the cable boots. (Proof of Purchase Required) Shifts are improved as well!!

To receive the retrofit kit email me at jamie.barone@charter.net the following information:

To clarify...This is not a new short shift plate you will be receiving, it's a new mount for the existing ball stud and instructions to install it

Pictures of the new kits can be seen here.

You all have been very good to me and in return I want to provide you with the very best quality parts for your cars that I can. You can go over to 24/7 and read more about the retro fit kits and how all the new kits shipping are equipped with the updated mount. I think there is a major sale going on too. got mine today too and installed it. works great.

i've had my ssp for awhile and there was no damage to the boot, but the standoff should give folks better peace of mind.

Shifting was smoothened(?) up a lot. I had gotten used to the extra effort to get into gear and now it just slides in. Sometimes at the red light it would be a little tough to get into first but not anymore. I also had no damage to the boot, but it did rub.

concur ssp's less clunky now. david coverdale says slide it in with the standoff.

I'm diligently at work on it. It will be ready as soon as posible. I had to sorta retool to get this retrofit kit out and I'm working on a shift plate for the 06-2010 Mazda 3.

Can the shift plate be sold without the weight? I see that the stage 1 kit includs the weight however I already have a Cobb weight.

This may sound really dumb, and is probably obvious, but if I purchased one today, it would already have the retrofit done to fit it around the cable boot right?

Yes!! All kits shipped after 2/3/2010 are equipped with the new mount that eliminates the boot rub and it improves the shifting feel as well.

Jamie, I was looking on your web site at the Dress up kit James Barone Racing
I need a way to secure my CP-e Stand Back to my fuse box cover. I was wondering if you sell those pieces individually? I'd like to use the fuse box piece as a base to velcro the Stand Back to.
