Laloosh Dyno Day

Well took the car to the dyno to see what it puts down at 17-18 psi. Vids to come soon. The owner of the shop wasnt very friendly and considered me changing stuff btwn run tunning....which he wanted 175 and hour for FUCK that. So the car went in set to hit 17s. We tried a 3rd gear log...lold idnt work the car lite up the dyno in 3rd gear, i was pretty fucken impressed. The number were lower than i expected but eh its always like that.
This was a awd dynojet
Cherry speed fully bolted stock turbo at 17psi hit 27x
Whoosh 22-23 psi fuel cutting hit 37x
As for me at 17-18psi...

Not the greatest quality...
3rd gear...spinning
4th gear

I don't know why my 4th gear is like 3 seconds long...the runs were started around 3100ish, then he hit the button around 32-3ish

Vids will be up soon, like i said the car went in, strapped on and i couldnt even fucken change a damn thing....i was hitting the maf at 4.76v only so i know i coulda pushed 20 and made higher number...oh well

superskaterxes 11-21-2008 04:52 PM

gayeeeee, but props none the less. eager to see what ron has to say

Darksun280 11-21-2008 04:54 PM

LOL your turbo looks like its bored of 17 psi already hahahahahha

aaronc7 11-21-2008 04:56 PM

maybe im just retarded but im surprised torque dropped so much by redline at only 17 psi?

SneakyP86 11-21-2008 04:56 PM

Looks good man,you don't seem to have any boost creep, are you running an EWG?

SgtP 11-21-2008 04:57 PM

i would have yelled at that dude. oh wellz. still decent numbers. making me want to go gt35 more and more now lol....

red07 11-21-2008 04:57 PM

Sucks about the shop owner being unaccommodating.

Pretty nice dyno I would say, that sucker is holding 330+HP deep into the 6's. Some more programming and I would bet 375 is very doable.

Congrats dude, AFR looks good to my untrained eye. How was the knock?

Laloosh 11-21-2008 05:02 PM

knock flatlined at 0 lol
the gt35 is run of the wg that comes with it...i just ported it

thats impressive that you dont have creep after doing your own port job. Makes me want a 35 now!

anyway, your numbers may not make you a dyno queen, but they still deserve mad respect at 17psi

btw, i thought that paying to tune on the dyno was when you pay someone else to tune it? wtfbbq!

Laloosh 11-21-2008 05:09 PM

yea, keep in mind people this turbo is sleeping at 17 psi and i couldnt do anything about it. plus every1 dynoed low as fuck. Fact is fact here, my car lite up the dyno in 3rd gear on video. Smoke out the tires, run last 2 seconds if that...i was like WOW lol thats kewl...then i saw 347 the next run and went hmmm lol

MazdaMan13 11-21-2008 05:11 PM

wtf why does the torque and hp cross at 6k rpms and not at 5252?

Truth is chris's tubro is like mine I make 20 less power then a 50 trim at 20 psi but will make 50-60 more starting at 25psi and up. Big turbos sleep under 20 psi

check the scales of the curves...hp = 0->400 whereas tq = 0->350...that's why it's fucked up.

edit: dammit...beaten to the punch...=/

I'll see if the video I took shows you smoking the tires in third on the rollers. That was crazy :bigeyes2:

big ups to cpe making the ride out in the shit weather....now go post those vids...better yet, whip cameron so he finishes those motor mounts, then post vids lol

I gotta send you all the data from every1s car...so you can do what u do best and make the shit better

SharkDiver 11-21-2008 06:08 PM

Those are some nice numbers...It looks like it runs smooth and strong till redline.

Haltech 11-21-2008 06:58 PM

Nice numbers Chris, i hope she stays together as you turn it up!

danesti 11-21-2008 07:56 PM

sweet...
VIDEOS!!!!!!

jhershorin 11-21-2008 08:01 PM

Loosh. Next time you hit the dyno let out A LOT of air from your tires. When ever we went I would light up the dyno no matter what. You'd hear that wierd sound that comes off the rollers when your spinning tires on them. Hit 16psi in each front tire and it should stop.

bioevolve 11-21-2008 08:09 PM

Or an axle breaks lol. Nice Numbers Mang!

jhershorin 11-21-2008 08:16 PM

I really don't see you guys having axle problems. I was doing A LOT of launching and hard pulls and my axles stayed strong. Yours have to be the same or stronger than my regular 3 had. I have dyno days and all the pulls on my computer. We have 40+ runs in 3 hour sessions on some of the days.

Deadman 11-21-2008 08:20 PM

correction whoosh(ron) 386awhp/349awtq @ 20psi. He said it, regardless nice numbers.

mrlilguy157 11-21-2008 08:26 PM

i thought whoosh was 37x/34x at 20psi too. I called him the otherday and he said he isn't going past 20psi for awhile.

good numbers, i wish they were higher.

Deadman 11-21-2008 08:28 PM

yep, he was supposed to dyno this week and i'm sure he will be over 400awhp @ 20psi. That's my prediction anyways..what do i know =\

Laloosh 11-21-2008 08:42 PM

Umm u guys do realize whoosh was there toda) pushing 22 psi

jhershorin 11-21-2008 08:58 PM

Whoosh's numbers sound about right. I made 432 at 19psi as aggressive as I could go without meth or higher octane. I had much better gearing and not as much parasitic loss. So his numbers sound about good.

whoosh@Realtune 11-21-2008 09:29 PM

yeah, I was there today
I'm running the 1.4bar(20.3psi) ewg springs which puts my car at 22psi
for the record, today sucked for numerous reasons from weather, traffic (4hrs. of driving), & the dyno operator being on the rag, etc etc
although I did get to spend the day with some great guys
my highest awhp figure is still 386 from back in August
I was getting cut back then at 6100rpm due to maxing the maf @ 4.9v
that situation has since been corrected by cp-e with the maf HOGG flash w/3.25" maf housing

today, I couldn't get the car to spin past 5800rpm due to some kind of cold weather fuel cut which was sad and frankly disappointing
The car is holding 22psi like a champ though
looking at the bright side.....gotta love 370+ft/lbs of awd powa @ 4500rpm

today

bf360 11-21-2008 10:33 PM

nice numbers, especially for only 18 psi on a 35r

MZRDISI4 11-21-2008 10:56 PM

Disappointing that the power still drops off.

you read the graph wrong

bova 11-21-2008 11:15 PM

whoosh you graph looks awesome....hp and torque hold so well.

if you or chris want to be featured on my website let me know (mzdspd.com)

i have all the logs on may lap top...rons fuel pressure with the cpe pump was 1800 plus everywhere. my reasoning for him cutting is that he is now maxing out the stock map sensor when it hold 22.8 psi and hte car cuts. But thats just a theory of mine

He has to be using something already to clamp it right?

builthatch 11-21-2008 11:48 PM

uncorrected. what were the ambient temps, in the 20's?

let's see a corrected graph (either/or) for comparison...

shame you could not go to the same dyno consistently to really be able to compare progress....the numbers really don't mean shit unless you do that, but you guys know that. so what i'm saying is...low, high....you shouldn't be upset or happy either way because you can't be sure how this guy's piece reads. but you can be happy for the curve itself ; )

why not pick a dyno and stick with it for this reason?

Thank you I scolded loosh already for that. All he did was waste gas and money going to Maryland to dyno.

Thats the biggest killer for people tracking mods. Pick one dyno, stick with it and plot Baro and Temps in a log. Will help you in the long run. Not to mention, thats one hell of a fuckin drive.
