so it might just be something simple to fix? nothing big? ive been running on the revision you gave me this morning. i feel the car run smoother and in 2nd gear i feel like it pulls a bit more than before, idk if its just me or it really does. thanks alot for the help!

fuck dude... are you babying the car like you've been instructed or trying to see if one random revision magically fixed your car?

stay the fuck out of boost until someone more intelligent than you (not hard to find, apparently) gets a chance to look at it.

i'm starting to see a trend in bad judgement already...

there you go, i donated the $25. THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP!

Hopefully! I need you to go into everything and make sure that all your COBB software is updated:

With the AP connected to the computer, go into Accessport Manager and make sure that the firmware is current.

In ATR: Go to update. make sure that you don't have the BETA box checked. Update it.

I say this because your throttle position doesn't even go close to max (other than a couple short spurts). I just sent you a slightly revised map.

I asked and am asking him to go into boost to see if there is anything that I can diagnose from my end. Don't have a stroke ;)

LOL. So far, you have brought a nice balance of stern reasoning. Possibly needed in this case.

Nonono,
Don't take me wrong, that is sound advice not to beat around lol. I want a single WOT pull to see if there has been any effect on boost production/ KR/ fueling. I dropped timing advance a good bit, adjusted fuel (it was commanding AFRs in the 9's up top), and changed a bunch of stuff in general.

this should be a lesson learned that impulse buying is horrible. seen too many youngsters buy something they like and have no information or idea what it means to have it. im glad everyone here is helping you out, but be smarter next time if you dont know anything about turbo's dont buy a turbo car. wait, do research and then get it. also if your financially struggling probably should have never baught a car to begin with. beater cars is always a valid option so you dont go in debt and risk getting your shit repo'd

warlord 09-06-2012 11:01 AM

@S3BAZ1091. I'm 99% sure your car was tuned by Japtrix in west palm beach. That's what Adam told me. He told me VF built it and Japtrix tuned it for the previous owner. Maybe contact them (Japtrix) for some insight as to what hard parts and how it was tuned or issues they had to tune around.. IDK if they keep record of that kind of stuff. I know for sure that you have an ACT 6 puck clutch that's pretty new. The Lou Bachrodt service dept installed it not to long ago. GL

@S3BAZ1091 thank's to @warlord you can now put something in your sig, to keep a list of parts you have installed.

Tuned at Japtrix wow!!! dude you are lucky that your engine is stilll running. The guys that had your car before didnt know shit what they were doing, they took it to a pos shop and tuner.I have read a couple of stories of ppl engines being blown, specially 350z and g37's that were tuned by them.

Lets say that your car has serious mechanical issues that the nator guys cant fix, I know two good shops down here that are owned by two friends of mine. One is called Fabshop Miami which is a well known shop for GTR's and Supra's but he does builds on any car, google the name for more info. And the other one is Slammered Inc you can search this one up on facebook for more info. This is were I used to take my car before I got more involved with Nator Fl.

Ok, I dont know if I am losing it or what, but did you go WOT (Wide Open Throttle, full throttle, floored) in those? These logs are fucking up my mind with 0 WGDC and 30-40% Throttle.

Anyone else see something that I am missing here?

From email: "When you get the next set of logs, please make sure you go full throttle from ~ 2500 RPM all the way to 6500 RPM. I just need it in a single gear (3rd or 4th) for now.

Thanks!"

I sent you a revision to get the MAF dialed in but it looks like it is at least running much better. I gave you some items to look for this weekend.

Code Monkey 09-06-2012 09:12 PM

Judging by data resolution, looks like an older version of Cobb AP?

Dude you need to read Abilor's guide.

dturboman 09-06-2012 09:18 PM

ahhh found the problem, broken driver... replace and car will run perfect.

WOT does not mean pussy foot it.

@S3BAZ1091....WOT = you floor it, when it gets past 6.5K RPM you let go..you don't keep it near RPM range...

Anyhow, tomorrow @adlpb will do MS3101 class. So, better make notes :)

Alejo_NIN 09-07-2012 09:59 AM

does it work like this?
be on 3rd gear at around 2.5Krpm, gun it (accelerate all the way, go Wide Open Trhottle, step on it, hit it, pedal to the metal) up until 6.5K and let go?

hhmmmm....this is hard stuffss

S3BAZ1091 09-07-2012 02:21 PM

so i spoke to adam today, he said he did a GT3076R turbo. did a full engine. with CPE heads and isdrium rods or something like that, he told me that japtrix tunned the car when the first engine blew. he then took it to VF who built the engine and the engine was put in at the mazda dealer with felipe. the rest the car had already. so tomorrow im going to check for any leaks on the car and check what else we can find.

S3BAZ1091 09-07-2012 02:27 PM

also he mentioned he did a street tune with cliton. so the car was never dyno tuned.
