(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score exactly what i did. i used oil put a little around it fit it but when i would try and fit it down to the turbo it would bend and be all sucked in..i checked them and the one i have is shorter than the new one. and im not boosting. cause if im suppose to be over boost instead of under means i did something wrong. what im gonna have todo is buy a new coupler. again. and just wait until when ever you are free ? :/ |

| Not Ranked : 0 score If your hose popped off thats more then likely where your leak is at. If your tryn it out now, you have a hole in the coupling that is taped up :/ obviously you will have a leak. When you get everything fixed correctly then we can see if you have any real leaks. Did you reuse the old lines that were on the wastegate and intake or did you run new ones? Also did you check the bottom coupling of the hot pipe? To move the coupling you had to move the pipe. Esit: hahaha I just realized Corey heard "leak" and came running into this thread hahahahhahahaha

| Not Ranked : 0 score As tight as you can is not the right way, that will cause an even bigger leak quicker. What hose running onto of the motor do you speak of. Reason I asked if you reused it is because given how your engine bay hes not been taking care of in a long time, its possible that those hoses are dry rotted and when you moved them around to connect to the new ebcs its possible that they cracked, I would check them out and replace them.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah I get what your saying, the barbed coupling is because on the k04 the line coming out of the housing is 6mm and the hose supplied is 4mm. I would change them out just to be safe and not use any fittings. As for how tight, you want it snug,and even, over tightning just ends up squishing the coupling and not making a good even seal.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score so i was able to get the coupler (new one) fit perfectly with the help of PJ, boosted and coupler is not going anywere. still on 10-15psi. this week his going to help me do a leak test see if i have any leaks. and just sit and wait for Bucker to get back to tunning. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score so i was just browsing edgemotorsports webpage looking around and i found this: Forge Motorsport Piston Turbo Actuator Kit Mazdaspeed 3 6 MS3 MS6 this is what it looks alot like whats under my car under the turbo. (to who ever knows what issues i was having before) that niple went to the stock BC and now is on the new grimmspeed. did i hook it up right? its says actuator and arent i suppose to hook up the BC to the wastegate? @Constantin @Sid3wayS @adlpb digno has the pics i sent him from under my car when i was hooking up the lines. might this be why im underboosting? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score The physical wastegate is on the inside of the turbo, because you have an internal wastegate. The actuator is the arm on the outside which hooks up and open/closes the wastegate. That arm is controlled by the ebcs. The round part between the arm and ebcs is the acuator. The term "wastegate" is used generaly to refer to both the physical valve on the inside and the actuator on the outside. Did you replace the old lines to and from the bcs? Did you check that all the clamps are on tight including the TiP and bottom of your fmic? Did you perform the leak test?
