well this morning omw to work the coupler decided it just wanted to come off. so i was fucked. i was able to put it back in drive slow af home. retighthen it. go buy a new coupler because i believe i made the tap way to close to the entrace of the turbo. made new hole on new coupler. mofo didnt want to go in again.. after 2hrs of stuggling nothing. so i used electrical tape. wraped it around the 1st hole i made. made a new hole. coupler seems to be tight in place. still on 10-15psi. bucker replied said i should be OVERBOOSTING not underboosting. went back to my car checked everything. disconnected EBSC pluged it back in. reflashed last revision bucker gave me. idk what i did wrong. checked all hoses were correct in each port and they are. so now idk wtf todo...

i know. just for the time being. while one of you guys are able to help me.. i purchased the exact same coupler it had on before. but that bitch would not wanna go in. the 1st hole i made is at the mout of the turbo entrance and there the clamp is holding it down. so im guessing its not exposed to the aire traveling..

You sure bought the same diameter? I had to use WD-40 on my cp-e couple when I did my FMIC. Grease also works. You probably shouldn't be boosting with electrical tape on that hose

exactly what i did. i used oil put a little around it fit it but when i would try and fit it down to the turbo it would bend and be all sucked in..i checked them and the one i have is shorter than the new one. and im not boosting. cause if im suppose to be over boost instead of under means i did something wrong. what im gonna have todo is buy a new coupler. again. and just wait until when ever you are free ? :/

No just stay on 3-port.

Thing about next weekend is that that Sunday is the Autox, so that leaves me Saturday to study for a Midterm on October 1st. So I am not 100% sure if I will have time.

If your hose popped off thats more then likely where your leak is at. If your tryn it out now, you have a hole in the coupling that is taped up :/ obviously you will have a leak. When you get everything fixed correctly then we can see if you have any real leaks. Did you reuse the old lines that were on the wastegate and intake or did you run new ones? Also did you check the bottom coupling of the hot pipe? To move the coupling you had to move the pipe.

Esit: hahaha I just realized Corey heard "leak" and came running into this thread hahahahhahahaha

i reused the lines. they had extenders to i used the lines that came with the bc to reach the BC and the one that runs on top of the engine right? im going to meet up with @Constantin tomorrow after work. see if he sees anything.

i also tired used the same coupling it had before , i bought it new from usp motrosports down my street. bu the bitch would not wanna go in and when it did and tried to connect it to the turbo it would just bend and be all sucked in. constantin said i should be fine now. since like i said i taped up the hole. but the hole is sitting where the mouth is so its no were the air flows. and on top is the clamp so i hope and doubt theres no leaks from there. i tighthen that mofo as hard as i could. havent been boosting. only sometimes goes to 5psi but i dont let it go past that.

forgot to mention who ever did this piping tried doing ridges on the ends of the piping with the same soldering.. smh. worst piece of piping ive seen in my life. saving up for some real piping kit.

As tight as you can is not the right way, that will cause an even bigger leak quicker. What hose running onto of the motor do you speak of. Reason I asked if you reused it is because given how your engine bay hes not been taking care of in a long time, its possible that those hoses are dry rotted and when you moved them around to connect to the new ebcs its possible that they cracked, I would check them out and replace them.

so then what would be the right way? and thats true. il buy some new lines this weekend. and try to replace them what i have left from the one that came in the package isnt enough.the hoses had tips in them to be able to add more instead of replacing the whole thing. so i just removed the 1st half and replaced it with the new ones. get me?

Yeah I get what your saying, the barbed coupling is because on the k04 the line coming out of the housing is 6mm and the hose supplied is 4mm. I would change them out just to be safe and not use any fittings.
As for how tight, you want it snug,and even, over tightning just ends up squishing the coupling and not making a good even seal.

so i was able to get the coupler (new one) fit perfectly with the help of PJ, boosted and coupler is not going anywere. still on 10-15psi. this week his going to help me do a leak test see if i have any leaks. and just sit and wait for Bucker to get back to tunning.

i was gonna do that this week when we did the leaks since he has a lift be alot easier to get under but im gonna have to a wait a while since i just lost my job..

so i was just browsing edgemotorsports webpage looking around and i found this: Forge Motorsport Piston Turbo Actuator Kit Mazdaspeed 3 6 MS3 MS6

this is what it looks alot like whats under my car under the turbo. (to who ever knows what issues i was having before) that niple went to the stock BC and now is on the new grimmspeed. did i hook it up right? its says actuator and arent i suppose to hook up the BC to the wastegate? @Constantin @Sid3wayS @adlpb digno has the pics i sent him from under my car when i was hooking up the lines. might this be why im underboosting?

The physical wastegate is on the inside of the turbo, because you have an internal wastegate. The actuator is the arm on the outside which hooks up and open/closes the wastegate. That arm is controlled by the ebcs. The round part between the arm and ebcs is the acuator.
The term "wastegate" is used generaly to refer to both the physical valve on the inside and the actuator on the outside.
Did you replace the old lines to and from the bcs? Did you check that all the clamps are on tight including the TiP and bottom of your fmic? Did you perform the leak test?

ohh ok, sorry for the noob question/post and no not yet. i got laid off from my job a week ago and i dont start work again till this upcoming monday so im running on low fumes till i start working again. last paycheck from other job comes in this week so ima head over and do the leak test and check the lines and anything else so i can start tunning, Bucker isnt going to be able to tune since his computer broke/ rfinkle hasnt answered yet, ive been talking to Lex from Stratified MazdaSpeed Tune (dont know if his good or not? any other recommendations?) and then replace my mounts. hopefully i get some cash for my bday this week and all going towards my car. but thanks again for the quick answer.
