MAZDASPEED3 FORCED TO GO FORGED!!

The problem: rebuilt turbo + 19psi (I forgot the boost was turned up that high)+ untuned + fmic + sri + tbe + cdfp + turbo manifold= holes in my block( even though a/f never went above 12.1)

-LEAVE for LDAC 22JUN08
-Unknown time- Recieved Rods
-RETURNED FROM LDAC 26JUL08
-9SEPT2008 Received the BLOCK, used
-9SEPT2008 ALL PARTS ARE AT THE GARAGE.
-15NOV2008 Motor is complete, Personal at garage has been fired major set back
-05DEC2008 I start helping putting the motor in, and the motor starts
-12DEC2008 Slave cyclinder fails
-16DEC2008 Buy new slave cyclinder, and can't bleed clutch
-12JAN2008 Finally the car is good to go

That sounds awesome! I'm going with a similar setup on my Speed6 but with Forged CP Pistons instead... Let us know when you get everything all hooked up.

well forged internals are good, but holes in the block are bad !!
i have been running my rebuilt turbo for a while now. i was at 18psi for a few weeks. now i am up to 20-21 in the upper gears. still no problems for me. i am fully bolted except for the IC is still stock for a few more weeks, and still NO TUNING !!

buddhabum, what made you choose CP over Arias? I wasnt aware that CP made pistons for these cars, did you get ahold of them to have them made just for you, or do they have these pistons sitting on the shelf?

The reason I am curious, is because Im a huge fan of CP, and I have only seen others run Arias is these motors.

Our piston choices for these cars suck. CP isnt much better these days when it comes to pistons. i mean, they are a spin of from JE. Their domestic engine pistons suck and i would suspect their import pistons do as well. Weak skirts, shit material, bleh.

We need a real piston player to enter this market and now that more engines are popping, this may happen soon.

Haltech, I know for ATVs, CP is at the top of the list. The JEs suck for the ATV I had, so many woud crack, same place. CPs rarely failed.

I heard a few guys from JE didnt like what was going on at JE, so they split and started CP, did you hear this same story?

so its been about 5 weeks since my last update, I can tell by the amount of bumps that nobody cares. Any who I'm having a crazy hard time trying to get ahold of a fresh block. That is the only thing i'm wating on, as a matter of fact.
If your wondering where iv'e been I had to go to LDAC for 5 weeks, that why i've been outta the loop.

Sounds like A piston wrist. Will eventually screw up a rod bearing, but the wrist always goes first.

So another update, still f!@#$%^ waiting on a block and crank. My goal was to be on the road before palerider especailly because my engine pop'd a month before his.. At this point i just want my freak'n car back!!! i'm thinking buy stock long block sell all mods, and trade the car in.
