Thx. I've always believed in the set-up of warnings with this engine to ensure it's safe but I'm not yet sure whether a KR warning only would be enough to catch 1. an overboost, 2. high egt, 3. lean afr, etc.. Or whether all of them need to be set up as warnings on their own.

Yeah, my DH is usually setup for rpm warnings, egt (o2 temp) warnings, and a few other warnings (but I don't remember which). I'll probably get a separate afr gauge, and egt gauge next year to have a more visual and reliable source.

JimmyMac you probably don't want to wait to the last minute to tear the block down. You may find more items that need attention and have to wait in order to source those parts. You may have issue with crank, etc....

These cars have a self tunning ecu, by adding the octane this ecu advances
all the timing possible, therefore making more power where you would lose it
on less octane.

And im not talking about shit octane boosters you would find at a auto parts store
where a 16 ounce bottle gives you oh lets say (1) point.

Good job you should now try it, it is alot safer than toulene, xlene, and

This is how i was able to get 627rwhp and 580rwtq out of my 04Cobra

Dont mean to just but in with my own issue, but once in a while after a long drive, and i am parked i can hear this bit of a raddle or knock im not sure, but it does not sound like the videos and its even not audible enough to record. It will do like 10-15 deep toned raddles or knocks and stop, then comes back one or two more times but stops again. it really does not sound like something is loose. any ideas?

p.s. Again i dont mean to but in with my own issue, but i figure everyone that is having similar issuse would be reading this thread. thanks

I have the exact same issue.

My car is exactly the same.

No one in Aus has done that yet, so I feel i'm braking new ground.

I've taken your advice and not driven it for the last 2 weeks.

Jimmy, have you worked out what the go is?

No, haven't touched the car since. Been busy with college and work. Only 2 more weeks of school before exams. Then maybe I can mess with the car. Just wish the rods were available now. That would motivate me more to work on the car. I am curious about a few things. I'll know more about it once I take everything apart. I'm also gonna lay low for a bit with all this bs going on this board. I'll shoot ya a PM if I find anything out.

That sounds very much like a collapsed lifter-but this car has solid ones. It doesn't seem low enough to be rod knock, something in the head.

My engine sounds pretty much the same everywhere untill i put it on the fuel pump...then its sounds like all hell....so im not worried
Does an upgraded fuel pump normally make a ticking sound? I don't know if what I am hearing from my car is the pump.

Big difference when i go from 93 octane to the torco additive, just give the

I buy it from Eastern Race Fuels .

No cel with the additive?
