Motor Mount CPE vibes

How much vibrations are there with either the cpe 60 duro or the 75 duro motor mount?

killa cam 07-24-2009 09:55 AM

not much. i could live with both, and i have a g\f that hates vibes.

if you just wanna clean up your shifts and minimize\eliminate wheel hop, get the 60. if you plan on drag racing and adding a lot of boltons in the future, get the 75.

i have the 75, vibes at idle were a little rough, but no where near unlivable. raised the idle to 900 and feels like stock now

i have an 80 duro, vibes were horrible for the first week, it does go away..

Are you suppose to get an alignment after install of an aftermarket motor mount?

no we met up last night to look at his car and it looks like hes got excessive toe out.

Kay Why are you coming to the coliseum tomorow, we can recheck the bolts, make sure its all snug

KayWhy 07-24-2009 02:50 PM

If i get a chance ill stop by. What time frame are you guys going to be there? Is it a one way in and a one way out or can i just drive in and meet up (and not pay anything if im just hanging with you guys)

8.5MS3 07-24-2009 02:57 PM

its not an autox tomorow, just a teen driving class, starts at 8 ends at 4. just pm vasken and ask him to bring his jack, tq wrench, and stands. ive got an extra set of stands if he doesnt. no money to come, just a good laugh watching the parents freak when the kids spin out on the rain maneuver course :yikes:

bring lots o locktite and a lighter or something to burn off the old loctite if the bolts did back out

How did you raise your idle? I had thought there wasn't a manual idle speed adjustment on the MS3. I thought the ECU (DME or whatever it's called on the MS3) controlled the idle speed.

killa cam 07-26-2009 07:09 PM

for some reason people think their idle needs to be raised, so they get it done with cobb atr.

SgtP 07-26-2009 07:45 PM

or they could suck it up like a man.

Yeah that's why you can change it with the Cobb AP ECU tuning/flashing tool. You raise idle to fix the super low 600rpm idle vibration, and possibly the turbo smoking which makes sense because the PCV is being redesigned for that issue. I'm pretty sure that reduces turbo lag a bit off the line. Probably not noticeable.

Does one of their preset tunes have that idle change in it or do you go back in and modify it manually after you flash your ECU with their tune?

Sorry for the high jack of the thread. I just didn't realize the Cobb AP would let you adjust any settings. I thought it was their presets or nothing (unless you wanted to go to a Cobb tuner).

MZRDISI4 07-29-2009 09:13 PM

There are a few maps with idle raised, but you can change it yourself to whatever you want. It requires a reflash however, realtime ECU changes aren't here yet. So yes, you can modify their maps to raise idle, or whatever else you want

The Cobb AP allows for you to adjust any map to your liking. Check the ATR section for more info.
