Motor Mount question

When installing the rear MM did you support the tranny or engine? Ive seen a lot of reviews and havnt seen one person mention that part yet. I know on some cars you need to and others you dont. Please advise :)

cp-e tells you to...it doesn't seem like you need to. it's definitively supported with just the other two mounts. when aligning stuff to get bolts in the jack may help but muscle seemed to work as well.

not needed. rear MM does not really support the motor or hold it up, just resists the torquing movement of the it

there is an awesome installation guide done by one of my favorite members on this site. it can be found here - http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...nt-review.html - this installation guy can be used for any mount, not just the cpe

Thats actually the one i have here and currently comparing to CP-E's instructions. I didnt see him mention a jack so i was just questioning

Not needed. Load rests on trans and passenger mount.

they mention a jack to make you feel better. the 247 how-to op did the same thing. "you don't need a jack, but use one if you're afraid the engine will fall on your grape".

cornerfreak is correct - the tranny & passenger mount are holding up your engine.
