gsrtype1 - your graph shows 12 psi boost not 22 - maybe thats why it's running so good - lol

Jessed87 06-21-2009 04:42 PM

2007 speed 3 GT 30,000 miles. partial throttle knock like mad at 3000 to 4000 RPM's smokes now and then. COBB stage 1, 18 psi.

jwdp54 06-21-2009 04:43 PM

nice looking mani. do you really have to take off the valve cover to install this one? i have the v2 and got it installed without taking it off.

also what are the things you changed with this one?

Not necessary to install the manifold, it just makes life easier.

DustynF 06-22-2009 01:46 PM

3k on the car. Still running good.

TWOptSL0W 06-22-2009 08:07 PM

08 w/26000 miles, aside from a malfunctioning radio and tire air pressure sensor that the dealer fixed fo free its running great...cpe xcel cai should come in tomorrow!! woopdeedoo

dirtyspeed3 06-23-2009 12:30 PM

09 w/12000 miles. Completely stock, the only thing that is slightly unsettling is a 'stumble' on cold starts.

ThEsHoCkEr 06-23-2009 12:42 PM

08.5 with 11,500 miles. Mods in sig. TRZ rattles trunk shade protector thingymajig and center console, LTFT's are high, but the car runs strong and hard and I haven't had any issues with it yet. :)

jeff4880 06-24-2009 06:03 AM

08.5 with 16K and it''s still running great. I have no complaints.

CherryMicaChick06 06-24-2009 03:21 PM

2006 MS6 Sport
40,500 miles
Mods in sig.
Runs fantastic!
Need to do something about the stock TMIC as this heat soak is a bummer, then on to a Cobb AP to dial it all in.

dbrier 06-30-2009 10:44 AM

12.5K miles 2008.5 MS3
I'm the second owner and I put on a Mazdaspeed CAI about 500 miles ago.
No problems and I see great fuel pressure all the time.

Addikted To Boost 06-30-2009 11:58 AM

09 with 16000 miles on it runs great except for the embarrasing smoking that is starting to get worse as of late. Hopefully bnoons bolt will fix it for me because it is getting old quick. I run it pretty hard and the car loves it.

NoRegrets 06-30-2009 01:24 PM

i've had my car for 21mths now and i love it!
it has around 22k on the odometer.
performance mods are:
ETS top mount intercooler (3.5)
StreetUnit boost tubes
HKS blow off valve (vta)
Mazdaspeed cold air intake
DNP turbo manifold
CP-E catted down-pipe
Mazdaspeed cat-back exhaust
mazda3mods vent to atmosphere turbo inlet
StreetUnit rear motor mount

paradigmshift 06-30-2009 05:22 PM

It has been eight great months with the speed3...

4/08 build date,
around 16,000 miles on the odometer,

3 early oil changes, then every 3000 (with regular oil),
switched to PP at 14800

Stock except shifter bushings and Dashhawk

no knock

yang_jackson 06-30-2009 10:15 PM

gotta post here again..... after installing sb and tune, car drives even better than before!!! when i upped the boost to 17psi, i was getting hella pt knock. emailed jordan about it and he set me up w/settings for my variable boost table.... now, no pt knock, and hella hold on to your ass, super boosted power...... cant get enough of my speed3.

blackrs99 07-01-2009 10:38 PM

MATT DAMOND 07-05-2009 02:00 AM

LOL Lenny

Kinda bolted, 55,000+ miles. I ran my car at the track for a total of 1.5hrs at around 6k rpm, and she runs beautiful. No power steering now, but ehh.

spd frk 07-06-2009 01:35 PM

Bought my 08.5 MS3 on June 23/08. I have put on 50,000km now driving year around through snow, sleet, ice, and occasional Canada Sun. Done 75 1/4mile passes, 2 track days, and 1 vacation. Regular bolt ons, see sig.

Not a single problem so far. Car runs fine, boosts strong, and I get wicked mileage still.

phillyb 07-06-2009 02:52 PM

my car is going to catch on fire!

No tune with those mods?

darth vader 07-29-2009 09:44 AM

I love this thread!

08, 25K, AEMCAI, Forge....

No smoke, little gripes about loose boost tubes and inlet from the factory but no serious complaints, runs great all the time, though the 30 degree C weather lately has taken a touch off of it, lol

novacircuit 07-30-2009 03:12 PM

08.5 ms3 w/ sri, greddy type s, turbo inlet, rear mm, cobb ap and still running strong at 17500 miles. Going tbe soon so we'll see if that stays :)

dixie789456 07-30-2009 04:58 PM

why does this car hate cold weather? all my other cars love it!

DCLXVI 07-30-2009 05:19 PM

mazdaspeed6, 50k miles, beyond slight hesitations when racing UP the mountains here at rpms below 4k, i would say it happens 1 out of every 10 times.

My car loves 45-80f.

Approx 33,000 miles running stronger than ever.

Transmission rebuilt at 20k but that's been the only issue which was my fault.

yinNout 08-12-2009 01:46 AM

New member checking in! Don't know why I got on this site so late...

2008 BM MS3 @ 23k miles, running great
Stock for now

GoSpeed3Go 08-12-2009 08:48 PM

i have a 2007 with 29,000 miles, no probs other than the motor mount recall all i have is an AEM CAI. i cant afford not having a warranty at the moment.

on a side note. i just drove from where i live near lake tahoe, to mojave and then to vegas, it was over a 1200 mile round trip. i was amazed that the car was reading the ambient temperature outside was 116 degrees and around 100 degrees at 630am when we left. even stock the car pulled easily up all the crazy hills to vegas and there are some Fkn crazy steep roads going out there. i think the castrol syntec oil change i did at work before i left was the best thing i couldve done.

RGV_MS3 08-12-2009 11:37 PM

36,000 miles, mods on my sig and running great. No problems at all in the year and a half I've had her. Well my clutch gave out, but that was my fault.
