my car only has 13k on it, and with all of the shit i have done and all of the fun i've had with it, i do sometimes wish i had left it stock. a few months ago, i even picked up all the stock parts i needed, intending to return it to stock (except for the suspension parts)

but then, i got in the car and drove it to my very favorite road and flogged it for a few hours, and it made me realize that i just couldn't do it, i couldn't return it to stock. since then, ironically i've spent a lot more money on it for some more parts, which at this point will remain a secret, but lets hope this time around things will work out better and i will be truly happy with it.

but, overall.. i've never had a problem with the car. it's meticulously maintained and as you can tell by my sig, i wasted NO time in modding it before putting any miles on it.

CoolMs3 11-30-2009 04:31 PM

07 MS3 w/ 24,000 miles, no problems accept for that occasional clunk when backing down the driveway, runs to strong need AWD!

JacksonMS30 11-30-2009 04:41 PM

08.5 GT mgm with cobb sri and tip. 27xxx miles and only a few squeaks...

Now that I've said that it is probably going to blow up when i go outside to start it... But then I'll just push it everywhere cause I still love it! Lol!

Frequentflyer 11-30-2009 09:10 PM

08.5, coming up on 36k miles with mods in sig. I had the SRI and BPV on about a month after a bought the car. I've been running the AP for a little over a month now. Running ITV22's. I've got the common squeaks and rattles from the seatbelt and windshield cowl and a few knocks in the suspension here and there, which I actually think is my Cobb RSB needing to be tightened, again, but other than that, the car runs well.

stefan 12-01-2009 08:47 PM

08.5 speed3 GT, 7k miles. stock.

battery was completely dead after i got back from vacation (two weeks) the other day and thought i didn't leave anything on inside the car. my roommate also didn't see any lights on or anything like that. i jumpstarted the car, had it checked at the dealer and turns out its perfectly fine. other than that, i also had the dealer fix a rattling dashboard free of charge.

nothing serious. hope it stays that way.

ms3077 12-01-2009 10:10 PM

41k - hard driven. Runs better than new and I'm on my 4th set of tires :drive:

nycMS3 12-02-2009 02:23 PM

JohnMS3 12-03-2009 11:05 AM

09 MS3

9000 miles after 6 months of ownership
Light mods: SRI, testpipe, TMIC, CBE

daily driver, runs strong and have no problems except for a constantly rattling glove box and dash, a very loud squeaking seatbelt and center console.

cld12pk2go 12-04-2009 07:28 AM

33k miles.

Mods in sig.

358 FT-lbs of TQ never gets old.

Still swilling M1 Methanol and running knock free...

Car continues to run great and has no issues with the recent much colder weather.

KayWhy 01-02-2010 05:59 AM

Mm I love this thread. I started it back when a large group of the community was getti g scared about blowing. We actually have a lower blown rate than many many other make/models...our engines just cost a shit load more haha.

Anyway, update time:
13k on the clock, I've survived an 8 hour trip north and an 8 hour trip back. The trip heading north consisted of normal crusing and about 13 runs that ended at 140(winter tires won't go higher) I drive this car daily and love it. Only "performance mod" as of now is and has been my intake. Cobb ss, Cobb weight, su solid bushings

Only complaint is the 1-2 shift at any temperature outside below 45 degrees ha. O and the fee rattles here and there

yearzero 01-02-2010 05:52 PM

09 ms3. 6400 miles. cobb sri and springs. SU rmm. runs like a champ.

ARES28 01-23-2010 07:47 PM

34000 miles, smoking issue solved with 5w-40 change-over. Cobb sri is the only power mod I have.

PoMan 01-24-2010 04:40 PM

2008.5 MS3 with 26K.

Full intake, Full Exhaust. 280W WHP, 13.9@104mph.

Haven't had a single problem. Runs Great!

98zjdave 02-01-2010 03:16 PM

2007 mazdaspeed 3 with 32k miles. Stock everything and it runs amazing still. Not a single creak or vibration anywhere. I love it.

18psiWhiteMS3 02-01-2010 03:45 PM

My car is running goood

wisniaPl 02-22-2010 07:30 AM

2008 intake and tune
30k mileage and nor problems at at all

Biggu 02-22-2010 08:20 AM

cobb tip, MSCAI, CS dp, vibrant exhaust with Cobb AP and a FMIC on the way and my car is as smooth as it can be!

div2 02-22-2010 03:12 PM

My MS3 must have sensed that I was thinking about selling it; it's been on its best behavior lately. It hasn't thrown the P0401 code for some time and it seems to be running stronger than ever. I think I'll keep it for at least a couple more years...

Fozzy 03-01-2010 09:02 PM

08 with 13k and some change. Runs like a cat shot in the bum!

wruss64 03-27-2010 10:44 AM

08 GT, bunch of stuff, FMIC DP TP Inlet, RMM, MSCAI, OCC, just got Cobb AP, running stage 2 fmic mscia 92 octange, running great. Just installed turbosmart dualport bpv, got a fart yesterday, but just need to adjust it a little. I have 16,899 on her, I don't go to drag strip, but do punch it in traffic, one of those daily driver 3rd and 4th gear guys. Car has always run great. But what I really like is it tells me right away if it doesn't like something, like when I had a stage 1 tune on, CEL came right on and said "your running me lean at idle asshole! " Also had way to much torque at low rpm's but god it was fun, but wouldn't go anywhere, just kinda stayed in the same spot with tires spinning :) Car runs great, people just need to have common sense and do things in the right order, and all will be well in the Univers
