Thumbs up My exhaust manifold thread!!

Here's what you all have been waiting for! An affordable, high quality, externally waste gated exhaust manifold!!!



Creative Performance Mazdaspeed 3/6 exhaust manifold!


















Now down to business, the INTRO price for this unit is $650 with no ceramic coating. Carlos said he can do the coating but it would be $150 extra. He also suggested that it would probably just be cheaper to get it done here in the states. No pictures of the collector just yet, he said the prototype flanges were done by hand so the quality was way off from what we will receive. The flanges will be CNC cut so they will be perfect.

In my next email I will ask him to send pictures of MY collector when he finishes it so you guys can see it. There is a full warranty on this manifold so you can feel at ease from your Medieval fear. If something is not right... send it back. Carlos has been in this game for many years and does not mess around. All of his products are high quality he has built some INSANE manifolds in his day.

I have a dump tube that trails my downpipe and dumps underneath my car. I would think that if your just dumping the exhaust below your mani then your engine bay must get really hot and would suck if you have a top mount.

Yeah I would be assuming all these people will probably be getting dump tubes or route it back into the downpipe... I am doing a dump tube going straight down beside the dp

It looks good....now I know Carlos was making Top mount manifolds how come he changed? I much prefer a top mount myself. Dyno number will be nice to see but the only way to see what the manifold does is to do a before and after dyno with the exact same mods.

I'm sure he will still build you a top mount manifold. This is just one for the guys using stock turbo placement. (the ones who don't want to run new oil lines and all that fun stuff, lol)
I would assume he knows how to do a dyno test on a new product, he has done this a few times.

In all seriousness though there isn't too much besides that they don't make it anymore. And I'm not sure if it had a collector or not, when I talked to ken they said they would fab up either a 44mm or a 38mm flange. But after waiting a few months with the same response "2 more weeks" I gave up on that.. They should seriously take that shit off their website.

Hmm...Looks like you are using a Mild Steel, MIG Welded, and then ground down welds.

That would be prone to cracking.

Carlos has been making quality manifolds for quite some time and there are a few with custom jobs on this forum that are quite impressive.

I'm just saying..come on. Carlos backs all of his products 100% so if a weld cracks.. send that thing back. Why NOT invest in that?

that thing looks great! especially with a warranty against cracking...
and as far as dump pipe goes... i tried 3 or 4 different places to get a EWG dump pipe fabbed up and on a Ms6 at least, its VERY difficult to get it out near the DP, at least with me set up. i was considering going down near the passenger side wheel.

Brice (Race Roots) - Carlos' work is second to none. He did my turbo3 with me when I ditched HiBoost so that I could actually make power. His manifolds are pure sex. Like mentioned before - he stands behind his work 100% so if anything is wrong he will take care of it but I never had any problems and he's a pleasure to work with. I trust the man explilcitly. I have given him my car for transportation for a few days in Miami. He has stayed at my house. He is 100% the best guy I could imagine to be working on this car. That's why I brought him here to this forum a few months back.

I also saw that. For $150 extra... so its the same price as this beauty.

Oh and also guys. I forgot to mention this flange will actually fit both T3 and GT series turbos. When I got the new pics I didn't have any pics of the flange itself so I didn't want to mention it yet.
