my fail... ok so the other day i installed my new jbr intake, egr delete, and tb tig and coolant bypass kit. well my retarded ass didnt tuck the wires in very well... i have been driving like a grandma until i get the intake calibrated, i dont think ive even hit boost. well i pull into my driveway to a small bit of smoke. panicking i open the hood. turns out my fan rubbed a very small hole in the coolant line, spilling it all over inside the bay. im hoping the smoke was just coolant on the block. i hurry up and checked my coolant temp with ap, it was at 205. so if i get a new coolant line and some fluids back in, no harm done right? fingers crossed... fuck im dumb... |
you'll be fine. |
You're not the first nor last to mess up a coolant line. You'll be ok. |
Been there done that, except I cut mine completely off. Getting that replacement line sucked. |
So I replaced the line earlier and refilled the coolant. But before I was at 187* all the time, now I'm at 192-196 and it started climbing when I stopped?... Could this be the air working out of the system? I'm paranoid now lol... |
Also, I'm not sure my fans working. My gf's dad sprayed the coolant out of my engine bay with a hose. I'm now wondering if it shorter it out? |
