every single time ive seen knock after a shift I immediately put the clutch in and let off the gas... its just getting to know your car. sucks that it has to be driven a certain way... but it is what it is. If you dont have a way to monitor knock, you can be educated about when something can go wrong or why it did after it does.

yeah sucks, tearing it down im done with this car. might even possibly sell it and just buy a truck. Ima get a mustang or something ill send you a pm with my number evan.

I'm not sure pushing the clutch in and letting off when you see KR is the best idea. You don't want the plugs firing or gas still going in if there is KR which is what still happens when you push the clutch in. You are better off just letting off the gas and letting the car go into fuel cut decel mode.

I recently bought my ms3 and its completely stock, but man reading this thread turns me away from doing any sort of mods. The car just seems too fragile from what im reading....

And I am not new to the mazda community, I went from a mazda3 (2.3 n/a) to a speed.

sooo my motor also just blew.. connecting rod right though the back of the block..i am new to this forum thing.. cant seem to find a for sale section im sure its me who just doesnt know how to use this. but i found this thread off the search button. anyone know best place to find a basic used replacement just to get her running? i dont have the spare money to do anything fancy.
