The CX7 engine DOES fit on the MS3, (only the block/head part).

2.3 NA engine Mounts will never fit on the MS3 mount points....
Sorry but that is a big fucking fail.... I run MS3 mounts no issues. The brackets to the mounts are the issue such as the tranny tripod and the triangle bracket for the Rear mount. The mounts themselves fit just fine No issues with any side or rear mounts, and any tranny mount that does not replace the tripod will work aswell.

Also the stock MZR engine can handle a Ko4 turbo up to around 255-260WHP aftet that things become questionable.

Side not OP be careful if that is a CX-7 turbo the compressor housing are different sizes. Didn't see if you menitoned if your new engine came with one but make sure you verify that it is a mazdaspeed 3 KO4 as the cx-7 KO4 is slightly smaller which can cause lack of power, quicker spool, and possibly rich/lean spots in your tune.

I believe he used just the block from the cx-7.

I can't see mazda changing the k04 specs for the cx-7. You sure about that?

Weather you can or can't see it doesnt change the fact that they are. Learned from expierence on this one when my we went to replace a KO4 with one from a CX-7 the compressor housings on the cx-7 are smaller same with the inducer and exducer measurements.

I re-used my turbo and intercooler.
